I really don't think this could ever happen but just as a hypothetical of the innocent love of mankind represented by Jesus in the modern world of Christians how long before the bloodthirsty Christians that need instant gratification and agreement would become disenchanted with the real thing and not the exploited version and resort to violence once again. history repeats itself ?

and if Jesus is son of God, is Mary the wife of God?
if yes, why did God chose Mary?
the bible is not making any sence to me.
so far, everything in the Kuran is clear..
everyone says the Kuran is words of God.
do you guys believe that, if no, prove me something that is wrong about Kuran.

Is there something we can philosophically surmise? Why are we who are here often here so much, what are we trying to do or accomplish or looking for?

sit back and think about this one. does God defend sin. does Jesus. so why do christians the bible has many scriptures saying to go and sin no more.John 5:14
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
John 8:11
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 9:31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:12
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 6:15
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Pagan religions who worshiped nature and its wonder. Now we can just use science to explore this wonder. Not imaginary flying piglets who want us to stone gay people.

Theodicy is a specific branch of theology and philosophy that attempts to reconcile the existence of evil in the world with the assumption of a benevolent God —ie. the problem of evil. An attempt to reconcile the co-existence of evil and God may thus be called "a theodicy".

I am Catholic and have every intention of sending my future kids to Catholic schools and raising them Catholic. I have been going out for 3 years with a boy who was raised in a family with no religion. We get along really well, but as we are about to graduate, I worry about our differences. Does love really conquer all or is there a common base that is needed for relationships? We have never really had to make decisions together; therefore, our differences haven't come into play yet. My fear is that he would undermine my religion and political views which tie into my religion (such as pro-life issues) either intentionally or unintentionally. He is happy being a "nothing" therefore I have no intention of forcing him into my religion to appease me. So, in 3 months we graduate and he will go to a grad school probably about 10 hours driving distance from me. Could a relationship with such differences work in the end? I don't want to later have to get out of an unhappy marriage. Help!

I've read about the Normans and their relations to the Catholic Pope in Italy and it seems that the Normans were ambivalent about their religion. I wonder how they came to be identified as Christians and what they retained of their pre-Christian religion after becoming Christains.

remember that one time in the bible jesus kind of disappeared for awhile. what the hell was he doing? did unsolved mysteries really do a show on that? and when jesus came back he seemed like he did a lot of growing up and had some new ideas. did he complete his jedi training? and why are jesus' and budha's stories fairly similar. both of a virgin, both were greated by wise men with gifts, both hated class structures, both guys wanted people to like each other and not do bad stuff? maybe jesus went east and learned some stuff? i dunno is it blasphemy to guess what jesus did when they didnt say what he did and we wonder WDJD WHAT DID JESUS DO

that we often get it wrong. That we don't follow our teacher. That we turn away and instead of offering love, hope, and healing, offer judgment, slander, gossip, and other sins.

Please, tell us what we have done wrong, so that we may confess to God the sins which we have committed against you, repent, and come to you not with any agenda, not to convert, or to change, but simply with the air cleared, and human relations restored.

I know that Satan was an angel, and then he led a revolt of some sort against God. One third of the angels were on his side. And they were all cast out.

Can someone tell me what passages in the Bible give an account of this story?

And... what are the theological explanations of this event? How is it that God could create a heavenly race (which we assume he did) only to have some of those being turn against him?
