God promised he would send his son Christ, the 'seed' to vindicate His holy name and redeem mankind. Gen 3:15, Gal 3:16, Lev 22:31-33. It was through Abraham's lineage of descent that he chose the line of kings that would eventually lead to the greater king Christ Jesus. Abraham was a faithful man and taught his son Isaac a love for God. Jacob was next in line who showed his faithfulness. He was renamed Israel which means, perseverer, with God. This is why God chose Israel to become a special people.

The bible is a collection of poorly written myths. There is no credible evidence to support that it has any validity. Also, there is no evidence to demonstrate the existence of some "super-being" such as a god. A more accurate statement of your question would be, "Why did the writers of the Bible suggest that the character, god, preferred the nation of Israel above all others?"

I never remember God talking in the bible. Its basically a history book of what occured. Different account or stories about different occurances from various persons. The book it self was rewritten several times at the hands of wealthy rulers, that had their own agendas.
If you do enough research about mankinds orgins. You will see that we are alien hybrids of different mixes. The alien visitors that made up the so called Hebrew race told them not to mix. Those star-people of the Hebrew lineage called them choosen.
Thats all! Your still special and so am I.

God does mention other nations, people, but yes God did choose the Jews as His chosen people and Israel as the nation for which Jesus would be born into. We don't really know, but my belief is that God chose Israel for the same reason He chose a stable for Jesus to be born in. As a humble beginning for Jesus. Jesus came as a meek, humble lamb to be sacrificed for us. He lived a humble life, came thru a small, insignificant nation, and born in a humble stable -- to show us humility. God took this small, insignificant nation and it has withstood wars, persecution with God blessing it. No one will wipe it off the face of the map as some countries are trying. God is in control. Read the Bible on this. God had to choose a nation for Jesus to be born into. Good question.

Look at the name. Discover where it came from. It was the name of a person named Jacob. And God gave Jacob certain promises, also found in the Bible. You have to go to Genesis to take a good look at what you are asking about.

i think of it fairly is extra precise to look at Israel as being the picking human beings (no longer race, as others have pronounced), incredibly than then chosen human beings. We have been those to chosen to settle for the Torah, whilst different international locations refused it (there is an intricate tale in the Midrash approximately that.) absolutely everyone who needs could make a similar determination. Good Question. God is known as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God changed Jacob's name to Israel (means "governed by God. Words with "el" at the end of them have to do with God; e.g. Bethel = house of God; Daniel = Prince of God, and so forth. "El" is God's singular, impersonal name. "Elohim" is God's plural [read trinity] impersonal name.) Anyway, Jacob fathered the twelve tribes of Israel (Reuben, Levi, Dan, Napthali, Asher, Judah, etc) out of which Yeshua, the Messiah came.(Yeshua = a contraction of God's Personal Name "Jehovah" (I AM) added with "shua" = "our Salvation." Yeshua translated into Greek is Jesus.
God mentions many, many other nations and peoples in the Bible and has special promises for them as well.

Israel (not Isreal) is a country, not a person. The Jews are the chosen people. Israel is considered the holy land. You're all kinds of backwards, man.
