If you believe that Jesus Christ is God, can you show me a place in the Bible or in words - where he plainly said he is God, or atleast clearly implied it. Also can you show where he clearly indicated that he is not God!

does anyone know of a good church in melbourne? i can't seem to find a happy medium between boring and cringe worthy!! the traditional style has me struggling to keep focus on the message and dread going to church. whilst the modern style of church usually irritates me with its attempts to be hip and entertaining and i find them rather patronising and well, just not me.
what i would really like is one that is intellectual and informative. more like a lesson than an attempt to entertain or sell, sell, sell.

Ignorant question for those against islam?
I read this somewhere [NOTE: I AM NOT A MUSLIM]:

''I'm a Muslim and I've never killed anyone, nor will I ever kill anyone. Your information is incorrect. The Quran states that "Killing one soul is like killing all of humanity, whereas saving one soul is like saving all of humanity."

Let's really look at the facts. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world. Even if we say that there are 120,000 Muslim murderers, that's .01% of the population. It's kind of like saying that all white people are terrorists because of Timothy McVey. Or that all black people are criminal because of the fact that the majority of prisoners are black.''

So, the questions are:
Does islam really kill people? WHo are they killing? why? when and how?
Is it fair to accuse all muslims for what some extremists do?

I don't believe in psychic experiences (or the paranormal). Has anyone ever experienced them first-hand? Can you tell me about it? Please tell me honestly in your opinion what happened. Any skeptics, please don't answer - I just want to hear from 'believers'.

It seems "leading us into temptation" is one of God's favorite tricks.

I mean the whole Adam and Eve thing was the theological equivalent of leaving the jar of cookies out and telling the kids not to touch it.

I know there are some christian groups that claim they get authority from the bible alone! thats just wrong. that is not only borderline Idolatry but it crosses over the line. Such people must be delusional, even if their faith misguided alone.

or do they get their priesthood from satan and his churches of babylon? see rev 17:1,5 18:4
i hear this all the time, christians quote You are chosen generation a royal priesthood. http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_pet/2/9#9
but i also know that NO one takes this honor unto himself and must be ordained like Aaron. Aaron was ordained by the laying on of hands.
I dont beleive I was chosen to be a priest I only believe my preisthood was confirmed. but does every single christian who practices laying on of hands have authority to ordain someone a priest. ?
I know there are some christian groups that claim they get authority from the bible alone! thats just wrong. So how many priesthoods have survived the appostacy and the fallign aways. i know a couple of groups of religious people in the 1800's believe no one has the authority including from the bible.

To all the atheists out there, I want to know how you came to your "There is no God" conclusion. Do you KNOW there is no God, or are you just unsure?

Don't bother posting links to sites explaining why I should have faith in nothing. I want YOUR reason(s).

Thank you

I am designing a calendar for a catholic publishers and I dont really understand some of the quotes they want me to use. I need some help about what I could do as soon as possible because I stop work this week and need to finish some of them.

Here are the quotes:

-One does not live by bread alone, but every word that comes forth from the mouth of god

-Though the grass withers, the flowers wilts, the word of our god stands forever

-Son of man, take into your heart all my words that I speak to you; hear them well

-Keep this book of the law on your lips. Recite it by day and by night that you may observe carefully all that is written in it, then you will successfully attain your goal.

I am not religious so I dont know what to do for some of them. I have some Ideas but would like a few more. Please help. Also if possible can you tell me of any good links for free stock photos that I could use for it??

i just started returning to church with my boyfriend about 8 month's ago. i've had a lot of bad thing's happen to me in my past. so i use to doubt God. but i got my faith back and i do believe in him. but since then i started smoking cigarette's and i've developed a drinking problem. i've been baptized. and i haven't drank in about a month and a half although it's hard because alcoholism gene's run in both side's of my family and most of my friend's do it. but i feel like my church sort of look's down on my for the thing's i've done and what i do now. also they are against gay people. now i don't really have an opinion on gay marriage but i definitely don't discriminate against gay people. i guess what i'm asking is am i in the wrong church if i feel this way? or do i need to open up more? maybe overlook these little thing's??
