Now that I've got my research Bible with 26 translations via different publishers, editors, and translators I there's been something of a change in Christian rhetoric. They're saying its not fair for me debate within answers as to meanings in the many versions of the Bible.

Here a couple excerpts.

I believe that its not fair to debate people about Bible.Because Bible didn't use logic as men but use faith.

It is not fair to debate on the Bible. It is already a well-known truth that the Bible is the Word of God. Myths are myths. Truth is truth.

And my answer, mistranslated and restructured Truths become lies and this has placed many in jeopardy throughout the years of Christian propaganda.

please, when Jesus said this, he definatly seperates himself from being God:
Mark 10:18
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

lord can be identified as someone with higher spiritual level not God.
1 Corinthians 8:6
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

why believe in some verses and deny the biggest verses that indicate that Jesus and God are Two different thing. why?? you aren't being honest with ur self. there is no way you can say "JESIS IS GOD and SON OF GOD" ?

when i was younger i attended CCD or catholic school. i remember in the classes they told us this story about how the only time Jesus ever got pissed was when he saw people using the church like a market place. and he destroyed everything there.
i am not sure what the story was called. or where exactly you can find it in the bible. please correct me if i was taught wrong, but...

my question is,
to this day, as far as i know, at church this still happens.

i used to attend mass at St. Dennis in Diamond Bar, CA and after EVERY mass, you could go outside... buy donuts, relious theme items, etc.
why do some churches do this? is this the same thing that Jesus suposibly freaked out about?

God did it to his children Adam and Eve. He took away their ability to live forever. Don't give me that crap about how they 'chose' to die. What if your kids played with fire after you demanded they not do it? Would you leave the fireplace within reach for them to touch it (tree)? What if they did, would you let them burn to a black crisp?

God did the same thing, he may have not killed them directly but he allowed for them to meet their own death. Don't you think you could make a better parent than God? Are you wrong for not letting your kid learn the hard way? Do you take the rod to him?

I recently took a picture of two friends in my house, and was amazed to see a very definate orb between them.

Looking back at photos taken in my house over the last year, mainly of my 1 year old son, I have discovered many photos containing orbs (One photo had 14 in total).

Had some someone take a look at the photos, as for as long as I'v lived in the house, I've believed it is haunted. They seemed very interested in the formation in one particular photo (of four orbs).

Do the formations that the orb appear in represent different things? and (in the case of the photo with 14 orbs, doe this mean that there were 14 different spirits in the house?

"If I were to be granted Heaven, I'll wait outside. If anyone asks why, it's because I'm waiting for you to come."

Would anyone would be sweet enough to do this? :P

just be easier to create the earth. Why a vast Universe. Why other planets. What decoration? Also, I find it weird that God is heavenly and why bother with the whole earth in the first place. Make us prove ourselves on the same plane of existance we are going to end up. Seems like if there is a god, he is just having fun with creating a planet.

Asalam Alaykum,

This is a ? for Muslims so please non Muslims do not insult nor give me your thoughts please. I understand this is not your lifestyle nor what you believe in and that is fine but this ? Is for people who live my lifestyle.

Muslims, what do you think of niqab? I am a hijabie and been thinking of niqab for several months. I know this is not commanded but it is accepted if we feel like it is best. I get several comments on my face when Im out with my husband which starts fights and such a lot! Also, my concern with not wearing it is that we do like to go out to eat a lot and also I do not want to scare people. I know my hijab scares people but imagine my niqab. I live in DC and it is full of Muslims even niqabies. I am confused I know this is for Allah and my halal life not others..

And our place in the universe, as if we have some sort of privilaged frame of reference. That the earth is in just the right place for life to evolve, which is not true. Life would have evolved wherever the earth was, it may have not been human but would be life.

Even the whole UFO debates, speaks of the imagined human self-importance in the universe. That Earth is still somehow at the center of the universe, the place to be and see the "ulitimate" creation, a human being.

I think the day comes when we find out that we are not alone in the cosmos, that there are other intelligent beings, will have a profound effect on the way we view ourselves. I think we will view ourselves in a better light, that we are not special.

Yeah, I thought I'd ask this here, since the singles and dating section doesn't seem to really be getting any responses for this question.

Really, I'm just tired of dating Atheists.
They start off nice, but as soon as I tell them I'm Pagan, they start making Ferngully cracks and just end up picking on me for believing in something more than science. Seriously, we're fine when they think I'm Atheist.

And then there's Christians. Every Christian I've dated has either made the Ferngully jokes, yelled at me because I'm going to Hell, or made the Ferngully jokes, yelled at me because I'm going to Hell, and then broke up with me because they don't want to be associated with such a sinner.

So yeah. Really, I'm just tired of dating Atheists and Christians. Yeah, I realize there are Atheists and Christians that can accept people of other beliefs, but I'm really tired of it.

Where do the Buddists, Hindus and Pagan guys hang out?

Jesus said the path to heaven is paved with earthly sacrifice. He shunned greed and materialistic wealth. He said, "what's mine is yours". He shared everything. He prayed in the woods for most of his life.... He didn't get happiness from personal property. He wanted others to give. Free will or not, he clearly identified more with the desperately poor. Since Jesus Christ lived an extremely humble life, why is America so capitalist?

"Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh out like fire."

James 5: 1-3.

I mean if you are so secure in your belief that God does not exist why do you care whether we believe he will accept you into heaven or not? If it affects you what we think then, you obviously feel some insecurity.
