Yeah, I thought I'd ask this here, since the singles and dating section doesn't seem to really be getting any responses for this question.

Really, I'm just tired of dating Atheists.
They start off nice, but as soon as I tell them I'm Pagan, they start making Ferngully cracks and just end up picking on me for believing in something more than science. Seriously, we're fine when they think I'm Atheist.

And then there's Christians. Every Christian I've dated has either made the Ferngully jokes, yelled at me because I'm going to Hell, or made the Ferngully jokes, yelled at me because I'm going to Hell, and then broke up with me because they don't want to be associated with such a sinner.

So yeah. Really, I'm just tired of dating Atheists and Christians. Yeah, I realize there are Atheists and Christians that can accept people of other beliefs, but I'm really tired of it.

Where do the Buddists, Hindus and Pagan guys hang out?

Yes. Ferngully jokes.

There's this part of the movie where the pixie girl says to the mini-human, "Can't you feel it's pain?" after he cut a tree.

I've gotten a lot of Pochahontas jokes and a lot of TV witch jokes too...

I probably should not be answering, as I haven't really had any luck finding decent Pagan women, but there are a number of places that you could try.

One good place online is Witches' Voice at http://www.witchvox.com as they have various personal listings, as well as regional event listings. It's predominantly Wiccan, if that makes a difference. There are a lot of people and events listed there.

Also, check out local Pagan groups, interfaith groups (a lot of us lurk at those), or even the Unitarian Universalist Church (a ton of UU Pagans out there).

You can always just wear a Kiss Me I'm Pagan t-shirt and see what happens. Of course, I should warn you, I have been spit upon while wearing mine.

Well, I'm an atheist dating a pagan man but I met him in choir, so that's probably no help to you...

perhaps the place where you purchase the things you need for your faith (herbalism shops or bookstores or whatever)? Or...I don't know, other than through friends and other places you spend time. Maybe you should start a pagan-dating service. If you are having this problem others may be too.

(Do people really make Ferngully jokes? How random...)

I like Ferngully...
Try meeting other Pagans at your local Pagan meetup at meetup.com
If you don't meet any single guys there, you'll meet folks who know single Pagan guys. And that's a step in the right direction. Finding a straight Pagan guy is a little trickier.
It helps also to sort of advertise your Pagan-ness in a lowkey way. I've introduced myself to folks because I noticed their pentacle necklace or tattoo. I always meet Pagan folks when I wear my Motor City Pagans T-shirt.

witchvox.com has a place to list yourself and read about others in your area. It's not really a dating listing but is a way to find other Pagans in your area. Also they have listing of local Pagan groups and events.

Another place to check out is meetup.com You put in your zip code and it tells you groups in your area of all kinds from hobbies to religious groups. There are several different Pagan groups on there.

I would look into the websites I mentioned above and start going to local events to meet people. You don't have to join a coven or anything there are lots of groups that meet at bookstores and coffee shops just to meet other Pagans and share info.

Try going to pagan events in your area (even if they aren't of your particular flavor). Even if you don't find a honey, there will be people to talk to and pagans LOVE to gab and munch. 95% of pagan worship is the potluck and gab session afterward, lol. I usually trolled for guys in the pagan book section of Barnes 'N Nobles, mostly because that's where pagan guys go t look for women. That's where I met my husband and two and a half kids later (our third is due in July) we are still pagan, proud and in love.

Most dating sites will allow you to search for Pagans or Wiccans only. Or you can search for a combo of Pagans and Buddhists and the like.

well i am Pagan and i do not know of any "hang out spots" that draw pagans other than the Medieval reinactment groups.

you might try the new age bookstores or metaphysical shops.

check into medieval reinactment groups. they draw a large number of Pagans.

there is probably an Amtgard group near you (more like live action D@D than reinactment), but they draw the Pagans.

check out Amtgard.com for local Groups.

that is the best that i can give you.
