First of all there is a difference between free will and free moral agency. Neither of those limits Gods activities however. God doesn't just sit up in heaven doing nothing. He sent His only begotten Son to die for mans sins, hows that for doing something? God gives you the ability to breath, to think, to sit behind a computer and criticize Him. He sustains the earth, the universe, and all of creation. I don't know how you could think that He simply sits on His throne doing nothing...

If you believe in God, then you should worship Him as the creator of all things, the supreme being in the entire universe, The Alpha, the Omega, King Shizznit on Turd Mountain, and the light and salvation of humankind.....NOT because he gives you a Porsche or takes cancer away from Aunt Jane. Why should God HAVE to do anything for you?
NOW....if you choose NOT to believe in God, then your life will either have the meaning YOU put into it, or....no meaning at all. People that worship God live because of the promise of a better eternal world after this world of trial and tribulation. That added security, whether real or not, gives them strength to endure. The belief that something makes all the crap we put up with worthwhile also keeps the sheep in line....

Have you figured out how your eyes are able to see? Or maybe you know the reason why you are even in existence. Where did you come from before you came here?
There are a lot of people with all kinds of nasty ugly disease, body issues, tumors, cancers, and you complain because none of those nasties have happened to you!
Do you know where you will go when you leave this place?
Nature does not create anything that it does not need. Everything in existence supports something else in nature. Since nature only creates and supports what it needs, why are humans here?
Humans do not support anything in Nature. Nothing in nature requires the presence of humans. There for Nature did not create humans!
How did humans get here? WHY!
There is a lot written in the bible about YOU! None of it is very good!

The "stupid concept" of free will, as you put it, is actually a loving provision from God. Would you prefer not to have a choice in worshipping him?
As for God not doing anything, though it may seem that way from a human standpoint (since we're not able to see God), in reality he's been allowing mankind and Satan to demonstrate that they are able to rule themselves sucessfully independent from him. Judging from world conditions we're failing miserably. So according to the Bible, God will be taking some very serious actions soon. If you don't want to find yourself on the wrong side of the tracks when he does, you might want to take a close look at the Bible to find out what you need to do to place yourself on his side instead of in opposition to him.

Because of the magical and binary thinking of the believers, you pose a threat. Because of your non belief some religions will eventually get around to seeing you killed. The Bible and Koran are very clear on this point.
If they don't cover you in your own blood like the Bible says to do unto nonbelievers, you can accept Jesus as your personal savior and be bribed by the promise of an afterlife in Heaven sitting at the right hand of God.
Check out Aquinas to read how much fun it is watching souls burn in hell with God for eternity.
Personally I have found people who have to be threatened or bribed to do good things lack humanity.
13 million Catholics signed up with the Third Reich and twice as many Prostestants. Our Christian Government knew the Jews were being slaughtered.
They had accurate death tolls since 1942 and did nothing because after Nazis and Communists, Americans (Christians) believed Jews were the third greatest threat to Christian America so the holocaust was allowed to continue with FDR's blessing.
Heil Jesus! Jesus's official agent (the Pope) signed contracts (concordants) with Mussolini and Hitler (an Altar Boy never excommunicated, traveled everywhere with a Lutheran Minister. Hitler was not an atheist as Christian like to say, he had 500 references to the Christian God in Mein Kampf) . These concordants are still in effect today and the current Pope was a Nazi Youth. Just for continuity.
Authoritarian hierarchys are for slaves, serfs, fascists and soldiers. Critical thinking is not compatible with belief and obedience. Dumbing down is job one.
No wonder religion is so popular in these here United States. As a preacher says in Jesus Camp, "You don't have to think, it's in the Bible!
Believing is easy, knowledge takes some effort.
Oh yeah. Free will is an illusion. Like ego. We are all starstuff.

first of all, I actually have lots to achieve from determining the version between reality and mythology. no longer in trouble-free terms do I no longer waste my time and money on mendacity establishments, yet I actually have the threat to discover issues about the universe which will be constrained through idea in gods. when you're incorrect, you wasted your existence on a lie. If i'm incorrect, then I even ought to emphasize about which of the 1000's of gods that were hypothesized is going to punish me for no longer understanding some thing i can not probably understand given the guidelines I actually have. no longer believing in god would look illogical to you because you're delusional or in denial or both.

You sound like a very happy person. I don't think that God just "sits there" but I do think that we habe free will, beacuse I should point out that if we didn't you'd still be here complaining that it's not fair you want a choice, but I think that God halps along those who do their best to do the right thing and make the right decision, and then there's also that whole wrodl to run. cheer up.

Well, you kinda just defined 'free will' in your question. You shouldn't have to worship God if you don't want to. It's a FREE world--do what you want. I don't think your issue is really about whether or not you should worship God, your issue is really with those that do. Worship whatever you like.
You truly have to understand God to worship him (or her--whatever you like). All good things do not equal God any more than bad things. God is balance. The universe is balance.

Perhaps God does nothing for people who expect nothing and call Him stupid. Would you? Funny you breathe His air, eat His food and walk on the very ground that He made, yet you say He gave you nothing. Not to mention your very life. Funny, God has done lots for me. He is no respecter of persons, what He does for one He will do for all, but not if you don't have faith. The faith the size of a tiny mustard seed is all you need to get God's attention.

Yes, God does nothing; and that is his right. The last time he did something was when he parted the prophet Malchi's hair with a miniature lightning bolt, and then transported him in a chariot of fire, with a whirlwind at his side.
Since then God has done nothing whatever, and why are you finding fault? Don't you know that it was never required that God do anything?
