i have lived in the middle east for 8 years.and westerns(like myself) are welcomed.and no one went around killing them either.in Qatar they are about to build the biggest church in the gulf.so how do they oppress non-muslims?should we blame the media for putting such a negative of the middle east?

note:i don't want anyone saying "well look at Iran and Iraq or Afghanistan".because the argument is senseless(not even muslims can go there).
because those are not the only countries in the middle east.and are certainly not the majority.

Early Chrisitian attitudes: (Written by non-Christian historians before the New Testament was written)

1. If you hurt me, I will forgive you.
2. If I have hurt you, I am sorry.
3. If I am nice to you, I will go to Heaven.

I posted these three precepts in an earlier post, and;

Some Christian lady wrote me and screamed at me saying, "Nice people don't go to Heaven, only Christians go to Heaven".

How do the above 3 guidelines relate to you belief system?

Ive seen many christians say things like they arent true christians(lie), Hitler was atheist (lie) and Jehovah is a good God and satan is evil (satan just did as Jehovah ordered) Ive seen christians say that Abe Lincoln was christian (lie) and that america was founded as a christian nation (big lie) also christans say that we non christians blame God for our woes, and yet they blame satan, that must mean they are the real satan worshippers, and we are not! hows that for irony?

I do. I have noticed everytime I have sworn or yelled at somebody or I open up the doors for satan to harras me at nights in visions and dreams and in my room banging on the walls. Last night I was swearing at my phone company, and when I when to bed I was attack very badly. In the REM state I started being raised of my bed, I called out to God, and he heard me and they left stright away. About 2 hours later they came back, but this time when I went to rebuke them in the name of Jesus, my mouth would open but no worlds came out even though I tried. The took my voice from me. And also in the REM state, the spiritual state, I lost my eye sight on both eyes I was blind, I called out to the Father and they again left. Then to top it of I heard loud banging noises in my room, as I live by myself. Have you got any advise Christians so satan can stay away from me? I have to but some oil to aniont my place like I was told to do by a pastor a few weeks ago. So now I have to stop my swearing

The I Ching (divination) is believed to communicate to the Spirit of the 'Oracle', but I read that every book has a different spirit?

If the Oracle is just one Spirit how does she communicate with 1000s of people using the I Ching at the same time? What's your beliefs on the subject of spirits manifesting in objects and what's your beliefs on the Oracle?

I have a young lady who is a server. She is good at it but she has a hugh problem in that she lies alot. It is hard to counsel her cause she closes up when someone gets too close. I have tried talking to her and got nowhere. I considered not letting her serve, but that is the one thing she really loves. I have spoken to a clergy member and he wants us to try to talk to her. i am afraid she will close up some more. What do i do?

What prayers can I say to help me get over this? It's the anniversary of my friend's death. She committed suicide 6 years ago at the age of 14. It was over something stupid, too. She was Native American and when she did that, people from her tribe came and did a sort of cleansing ritual (more info on that, too please). I did not see her do it, but I remember her being pulled down and the paddles being used. She was whiter than me, and I'm almost albino. I feel kind of sad about it, and try to sort of think of her in memory as well as say duas, even though I know what God says about this. I just would like some extra prayers to say about it. Thank you in advance :)

As I understand it, consciousness with a mind can be considered to be self-awareness. Consciousness without a mind must be possible, or there would be no distinction between the two (and there clearly is). So, if consciousness requires no mind, can a tree posses consciousness? Can a rock? Can the wind?

I am wrestling with a problem that has been on my mind for some days now, regarding my elderly grandfather. He is dying, although we are in all in acceptance of this fact as he has had a long, fascinating life.

One major part of his youth was WW2, when he served as RSM in the Royal Signals (Dispatch rider), with distinction in both N Africa and Burma (he had the privelege of meeting both Monty and Heile Salsee on a regular basis thanks to his work). I do know that he was captured and tortured severely be the Japanese near the end of the war and only got home in 47, unable to walk or urinate without aid for the rest of his life. Whatever he knew as a dispatch rider, he did not reveal to them even after 3 years of torture and imprisonment.

To this day he cannot forgive the Japanese people, even though his world has long since faded away- he does realise we are friends now. I realise he went through so much at their hands and that his mind suffered severely, unimaginably...

Christians/Muslims etc: Why do you need a book or higher power to teach you how to LOVE?

Shouldnt it be common sense for you to love and care for people and treat them as loving and caring as you want to be treated? Why do u need to be told this?
not to say i never i make imstakes. but once i do i learn and move on.

I once asked my Christian friend why it is wrong to kill. He told me: "Because Jesus said not to kill".......................um... personally I don't kill because i know i would not want others killing me or my family . I dont need Jesus to tell me why. Why does my friend?
He couldnt answer it. Maybe you could?

We're all selfish..its a survival instinct but we all have a conscience and should know that if we didnt act civil towards each other ..it will only lead to anarchy. right?

Please no bible verses. I want to know your thoughts through your own words.
Thanks.
