its not only atheists that attack ppl on here. other ppl do it too and some times its over questions that r simple and shouldnt even be attacked. i think some times its just a mean person that answers or some 1 doesnt like the way the question was worded and they took it the wrong way. im not an atheist but ive been attacked for asking a simple question by all kinds of ppl and ive seen others attacked for no 1 too. its just how the mind perceives the question i guess.

can i initiate by ability of exclaiming I quite often steer away from questions approximately atheists b'c i've got self assurance they are given a stressful time right here -- i know Christians are given a stressful time too, regardless of the undeniable fact that it does not make it top that we in turn are advise to them. we are meant to renowned greater valuable. the rationalization i'm answering it incredibly is b'c i admire this text and have self assurance that is actual. So that is to no longer disillusioned all people ok : ) Ecc 3:11 AMP He has made each little thing captivating in that's time. He additionally has planted **eternity** in adult men's hearts and minds - a divinely implanted experience of purpose working via the a while which no longer something under the solar yet GOD by myself can fulfill, yet so as that guy can no longer locate out what God has executed from the beginning as much as the top. As believers all of us know the flesh fights against God b'c we've been separated spiritually -- yet this text supplies us what i've got self assurance is the reality. God bless T x : )

One does not to have cancer to be interested in researching it.
religion, while a foolish pursuit, is fascinating to debate.
That said, this atheist does not attack. You can believe what you want and live in your own fantasy world as long as you don't use the excuse of religion to destroy and murder and as long as you don't claim to hear voices in your head telling you to do dumb things.
Now, if you want to discuss and debate religion, any aspect, here is where you can do it but do not expect us to fall in line just because you are convinced that god exists, along with the associated heaven, hell, satan and the soul, all of which are pure fantasy as far as we are concerned.
Insecurity is the LAST thing that we feel. You have a distorted view of how comfortable atheists feel about the reality of life. I have been an athiest for at least 55 years and have never felt more free and secure.
Do you get the idea?

Insecurity may be the big reason. It is also like you have twisted their arm into reading and answering your question. I do not feel compelled to answer their question nor do I care about their beliefs or intentions.Their biggest counter is they do not like a "Christian telling them they are going to hell". If A Christian is telling you, you are going hell" , why would you believe him. He is not God, he is just a human being like you.
Thank you God for our Christian USA nation.

Because it DOES affect us. Christians are constantly trying to get laws passed that affect nearly every aspect of our lives. I want to be able to live my life without having christianity forced on me by the government, and that means paying attention to what christians are doing so that I can oppose them. I also find it rude and annoying when people assume I am a bad person just because my beliefs differ from theirs, and when people are hypercritical of my life without even knowing who I am. I also think that threatening me with being sent to hell is rude. I probably shouldn't be so sensitive, but I don't like knowing that millions of people who I've never even met think that I deserve to be tortured for all eternity. And I like it even less when these same people tell me so to my face. So in my mind it has less to do with insecurity than common courtesy and compassion, things many christians sorely lack.

Well, I don't attack people at all. The only time I get annoyed with theists is when they attempt to pass their beliefs into my country's legislation. As for the annoyance at being told I'm going to hell--it's more aggravation at the attitude that I clearly don't know anything about Christianity and thus need to be "saved." I am quite knowledgeable, and don't need informed. Also...it's just rude to tell someone they're destined for damnation.

I'm not sure I'm fit for the question, really. I'm agnostic myself. However, upon hearing this most Christians seem to claim me athiest and begin to preach down to me about how I need to 'change my ways' and all that stuff.
THATS the part that I think irritates most people. Christians tend to preach down to you, even after you've told them that you really don't care to hear it. They keep on and on and wont listen to your reasons as to WHY you've chosen that belief. They just think that you need 'saving'.
It doesn't mean that we're insecure about our beliefs, it just means that we get annoyed when the seventh THOUSAND christian launches into a tirade about heven and hell! And I'm agnostic for gods sake!
I don't go around yammering on about my beliefs, and I wish Christians would return the favor.

Look at it this way, most Christians feel the need to tell non-Christians that they are going to hell in order to "save" them. The Atheists are just trying to save believers from blind faith. If nothing else, they make you evaluate your beliefs and choose them rather than accept them as is from your parents and pators.

Unfortunately, your religious delusions DO affect society at large, and adversely so. All the time and effort you spend on religion is wasted, and could be better spent on devising and producing products and services that I and others want to buy, and this would be a benefit to society as a whole -- as well, obviously, as to yourself.

No.....I just don't want you sticking your faith or beliefs in the poltical realm and schools. Teach your own children whatever you want.
I think raising children to believe that other people different from them are going to hell is evil and demented, but that's your business. Most of them are smart enough not to take it too seriously.
Once you try teaching my children that...it becomes my business.
You can believe that Jesus was magic if you want to....doesn't bother me a lick.
