On 12/26/06, my 9 & 10 yrs old daughters were injured in a house fire at their grandparents house. The grandfather died on 1/26/07. My 9 yrs old jumped out of a window and suffered 3rd degree burns on her arms & back. She has a lifelong of memories from that day due to her physical scarring. I believe in God; but WHY did such a horrible thing have to happen to such a LITTLE GIRL? I just don't understand how God could let this happen. WHY O WHY??!!

No offense, but he's doing an AWFUL job at taking care of his children...they're dying all over the place but all he's doing is blaming Satan (which is way too George W. Bush-esque)...

Does he even care that they are killing each other over HIM??????Apparently not...lol....

Can evolutionary theory account for this seeming anomaly?
Thanks.

I have just finished reading the God Delusion by Dawkins. I find its tenets very plausible. I was a Christian theistic evolutionist before, and so most of his claims about evolutionary theory were not earth shattering. The most damaging statements to the Christian faith are the critiques of the scriptures, and I think it is hard for me to accept Old Testament law as a loving God’s best hopes for humanity. It seems quite cold and even cruel at times. I think if my faith were only in the bible’s inerrancy, or the ability philosophy to “prove” God’s existence, or science ability to reveal the complete nature of reality I would have left it years ago. However, I have had powerful experiences of “God moving.” I have seen a lady whose cancer disappear after a prayer session. Another was cured of diabetes. I have seen my wife’s back healed. Even after reading Dawkins stuff on the psychology of religion I still feel that those events to are best explained as “Acts of God.”

Hmm.. me thinks not..

"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."--Matthew 7:8.

Mark Twain said there are "upwards of a thousand lies" in the Bible. But this is probably the biggest. How many desperate, frightened, broken-hearted parents have watched their children die while begging God to help? Isn't this verse just a huge lie?

note" I tried extra hard not to mis-spell anything just for the more sensitive of you.
I know now how much it means to you...I know its very hard for some of you to make connections or to think for yourselves and you may simply not be able to read unless all the rules are followed properly.

Then his mom said that animals don't have a soul, they don't go to Heaven or Hell. Is this true?

I dont belive in god or angels or even hell but i do belive that there is a higher power out there and that there is a good and evil of some sort. What does this make me?

In a couple of religions, They preach that if I don't belive in God? then that would mean trouble. I am confused. Can somone help me?

But If God is good? Then why would he send me to hell in somthing I am unsure about? I find that to be unfair. But WHo am I to know?

God is present everywhere, even within ourselves, then why billions of dollars are spent on building places of worship like temples, churches .mosques etc. Will it not be better to spend the same money for removing poverty, illnesses and make life better for all human beings.

I am a strong believer in religious freedom. But I am also a strong believer in advocating for the health-care for children.

I believe in "metaphorical" angels, which by definition mean really nice people who have touched my life in some special way, but there's no way I believe in actual angels-people with wings and magical powers. To me...they're in the same categories as unicorns....

What about you folks?
