Islam is here to stay until the Day of Judgment, Christianity will also exist until the time when Jesus Son of Mary descends from the heaven and shows the Christians how astray they have gone by associating him as a son of God.

Peace Be With You

I sincerely doubt that other will die out completely. Various ancient Pagan religions have still survived in some form or another, with very limited writings. Today, we have tons of books, CD-roms, videos, and various other forms of media. Somebody will always be practicing it.

As for how popular they will be in the future, only time can tell. If Thomas Jefferson was correct in his letter to Adams in April of 1823, "the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter "

I really do believe that we will see a decline in Christianity. A number of nations with primarily Christian populations have declining birth rates and this alone will play a role.

Additionally, the rise of various minority religions as a result of networking via the internet will play a role. I am a member of a very small minority religion and through the world wide web I have found a few others of us of whom I was previously unaware. This increases the chance of us marrying, having kids, etc. with somebody of the same belief system, which increases the odds that our children will share that belief system. Previously, it would have been probable that we would have paired up with Christians and as that is the dominant culture here, the children would have been more likely to be Christian.

If you take a look at the American Religious Identification Survey, you will see that in the U.S. at least, Christianity and Judaism are on the decline. A number of minority religions are on the rise. I predict that the same will occur/is occurring elsewhere.

We can only hope so!

However, I believe that remnants of religion seep into secular society no matter how hard you try to ignore them.Example: "One nation, under God" is still uttered by school kids, Churches receive funding by the federal government, and even through I'm agnostic/athiest, I can't help but saying "Oh My God!" from time to time.
And, remnants of Paganism and polytheism still exist in mainstream culture, albeit in fractured and more metaphorical form. We have Cupid as the hero of Valentine's Day, we celebrate Halloween, and our Calender is based upon a pre- Judeo-Christian understanding of the seasons and the earth. A.E. Whitehead said that, "The whole of the history of Western thought can be seen as but a footnote to Plato," Plato being of a polytheist society himself, brought about much of the basis for modern Christian thinking.
So judgeing from history, it seems that Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and all of present day religions will likely end up transforming into something else, or manifest themselves in other areas of society, rather than die out.

Maybe some day, all those deluded fools who live in their own fantasy world will see the light of reality. However, the myth is being dragged out as parents indoctrinate their impressionable children.
Those children should be given the FACTS and allowed to make up their own minds. Only in this way will the folly of religion die out. The muslims will take a lot longer than the rest. Totally nuts.

certainly there are nevertheless extremely some Pagans around. there are a number of faiths and practices that greater wholesome the "Pagan" label and their numbers are nevertheless becoming. extremely some older styles of Christianity that have been pushed underground are becoming in acceptance lower back, like Gnosticism and styles of Christian mysticism. So, no i do no longer think of that they are going to die out. they might have fewer individuals as human beings grow to be self sufficient from shifting to different styles of the comparable faith or different religions yet its possibly they're going to consistently be around.

Let everything that has breath praise the lord! You may call him what ever you like, just as long as you believe in someone other than man. A higher power,Creator of heaven and earth. Both religions say that Judgement day will not befall true believers.

So it is very likely that they will die out before that.

It is sort of like a law of nature for people to forget their beliefs, their principles and their history in time, so I have no doubt that they will both go extinct. Long before we see the end of our earth.

paganism is still big because the devil and his fallen angels are still here. Christianity will never die out because Jesus reigns eternal and that's forever!! King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

They die out and come back daily. It's not really about it dying out; it's the constant changing of the faiths that should be judged.
