I know there are some christian groups that claim they get authority from the bible alone! thats just wrong. that is not only borderline Idolatry but it crosses over the line. Such people must be delusional, even if their faith misguided alone.

Jesus does. He can through John 15:16.
This is a serious matter. Authority comes from Christ alone.

Why don't you explain yourself better, rather than going off on people just because you are unwilling or unable to put your thoughts into a context that is understandable?

Who are you talking about?

Why is it that you believe that Christians who get their authority from the Bible alone border on idolatry?

At least the Bible presents an objective authority. From what subjective source do you get your authority for such judgmentalism?

When Jesus, on the cross, uttered the words, "It is finished", the veil separating the Holy of Holies (the dwelling place of God amongst His people) tore fully in half.

This meant, to the Jews of the time, that the need for a priest to enter the presence of God to atone for the sin of the people was eliminated. By dying on the cross for the present, past and future sins committed by all people all over the world, Jesus did away with the need for priests.

Jesus ordained the 12 Apostles, only. Jesus taught and sent 72 others. Jesus said if they are not against us they are for us.

Jesus never gave Peter or the other Apostles the authority ordain anyone, nor did he give them the authority to replace Judas.

Jesus said; Father those that thou gaveth unto me I have lost none.
Jesus also said; there are some standing here that shall never taste death.

We have but one teacher, the Holy Ghost shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Word Of God is found in the Old Testament only 4 times, and says Go tell mu servant David thou shall not build me a house to dwell in.

There is not only suppose to be any preachers, there is not supposed to be any physical churches.

We are not followers of Moses, Peter, or Paul,
We are followers of Jesus Christ, as followers of Jesus Christ why would you listen to what others command?

So......you recognize that Jewish clergymen "failed miserably" through fact they claimed their own guy=made traditions have been certainly of God?" so which you recognize that they failed through fact they CLAIMED this? so which you recognize that their traditions weren't of God even nonetheless Jews have been the chosen human beings of God? Wow! further, Catholic clergymen DO have BIBLICAL AUTHORITY. Jesus, himself, created the Catholic Church on the final Supper, He made Peter the 1st Pope and the 1st Bishops have been the Apostles. besides, to ensure that each and all and sundry Christian church homes accompanied authorized scripture, considering Catholicism grow to be the sole Christian Church interior the Western Hemisphere till the sixteenth century while Martin Luther grow to be excommunicated and finally formed his own church (He had no purpose of leaving the church or the priesthood--You do understand that Luther grow to be a Catholic priest, i'm hoping. The Pope forced his hand.), the Pope interior the 5th century ordered a overview of scripture. He have been given rid of that which grow to be no longer coaching Jesus' message and something have been compiled right into a e book stated as the bible. Why would the Pope no longer approve of scripture which failed to assist church traditions? So, you PRESUME to appreciate that Jewish clergymen mentioned their traditions have been of God. You PRESUME that they weren't ordained via God, nonetheless they have been the chosen human beings, and you recognize no longer something of Christian historic previous---yet none of this stops you from condemning others. How does it sense to declare which you recognize greater powerful than people who understand their Christian historic previous? rather inspired with your self, are not you? maximum Fundies are.

The preisthood thing is like catholic...The Bible is Chrisitian. Religions are driving people away from Christ. You dont have to belong to any Church to be a christian. We are all called to be fishers of men, to be missionaries, to feed the hungry, visit the prisoners. You dont need a piece of paper from anyone to be on a mission for the Lord, if its in your heart he will open the doors and provide the means. If you have a calling dont let anything stop you from doing it.

There is nothing word in the bible about the ordination of a certain priest. It is only from the Pope who is being called by its members as their Holy Father. How can he be called holy father? He is also human being like them who was lost in his search to find the right path to heaven

Christ established a Church, namely the Catholic Church, in Matthew 16. He promised that nothing -- not even the gates of hell -- would prevail against it.

Later on, He told the first leaders of that Church -- the apostles -- that what they bind on earth is bound in Heaven, and what they loose on earth is loosed in Heaven.

The New Testament speaks very clearly about bishops.

Later on, as the Church grew and the bishops could not cover all the territory that needed to be covered, they appointed assistants -- the equivalent of today's priests and deacons -- to minister to the people, especially with regard to the Eucharist as given us in John 6.

The Church has full authority to do this, because again, what it binds (or looses) on earth is bound (or loosed) in Heaven. Jesus said so!
