My husband and I never missed church until we prayed for the Lord to open our eyes. Then we started seeing thing in the church that shouldn't be there. Does this sound weird?

We started noticing the pastor was talking about people from the pulpit. People putting on about what they believed, etc.

No it doesn't, it sounds more like you have eaten of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Now you see evil in things that you would have never seen evil in.

However, in every church there are humans, and humans can and do have attitudes, including you and your husband.

We cannot find a perfect church, we can just hope to make a church better by our actions.

Not weird at all....some churches are operated under the views of the leader (pastor/priest/etc) and their views of course are going to trickle down to the congregation. Not to mention that you have become more receptive to everything going on, not just a sort of tunnel vision view of the church you are attending. The power of positive and open thinking, regardless whether you've attained that through the channel of prayer, frustration or otherwise, is an extremely effective tool to improving yourself and your life/views.

There is good and bad in everything including religion...if you are now seeing things that are bothering you or making you feel uncomfortable...seek out another church. There is nothing wrong with this. Freedom to worship where you feel all is right, is more important than remaining in a church where you see that all is not quite the way you, as a Christian, believe it should be.

When you find that church? It will fit you and your views almost perfectly and you will be excited to go every week...you can't feel good about something if you are bothered by some of the teachings or information you are getting, therefore you will not be as receptive to the teachings and information you obtain.

If you are criticized for leaving this church...that is just one more reason why you should have left long ago...

Good luck

Do you quite think of that this international became into created by ability of twist of destiny? that each and each residing ingredient became into just some screw up from organic motives? Your eyes are open, you only choose for to no longer see. that's very nicely with me, because of the fact once you die, you will only be ineffective consistently. Why do you think of that God gave us the main appropriate to choose for and not the different animal? God does not care no count in case you decide on for to work out or no longer, it is your decision, no longer Gods'. ok particularly woman, I isn't seeing you in the hearafter that's a shame. If you believed God opened your eyes then you have a responsibility to pray for your pastor, his family and the ministry. If you do you will go a long way in helping God to correct the situation. I Said Pray, not for you to make the corrections you self. Let God make the corrections. He knows how to do it best.

Maybe you can elaborate on what you were actually seeing, then i can tell you if its your imagination or you really are seeing it, sometimes when God tries to guide you & make you see the wrong in your religion then it could happen.

Do me & yourself a favour - read this websites - look a at it with an open mind, maybe christianity is not the religion for you & God is trying to show you the right path.

God can work in ways above our understanding. Many times providence seems to go against his promises. But he will work out every thing beautiful in his time. Thing about the life of Joseph, David, Paul..etc

In most churches today, you will find that spirit of denomination in them, & what you said is not surprising, Remember if we are truely born again, we are the church. But you must not forsake to assemble yourselves.
