Many people who call themselves "good Christians" take their personal beliefs and use those in deciding which pasages of the Bible to follow and which to ignore. Many of these people look to passages condemning homosexuality, yet they conveniently overlook passages telling them to love others as they would love themselves. This all seems very backwards to me. I think "good Christians" should let the Bible shape their personal beliefs, not allow their personal beliefs to decide for them which passages to follow and which to overlook.

today in the newspapers in the Uk there is talk about uniting the Catholic and Anglican church
this is due to their mutual dislike for homosexuals
leaving the Pope as head of the church and taking the Queen away from her position
is this reason to unite ?
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/faith/article1403702.ece
will it really happen ?
what would be the results if it did ?

Note: You don’t say somebody takes something on faith unless you mean that that faith is more an assumption than anything else.

According to this popular Christian children's song he does. He doesn't even consider them people.

"Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world, red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight........"

Why weren't brown children mentioned? And what about mixed children, does he hate them too?

I recently asked the question Why did satan leave heaven.? If god knows everything then he would have known how satan would turn out, and how adam and eve would react to him, and indeed the terrible state the world is in today. Please do not mention free will in your answer.

First off, you atheists cannot disprove that Christianity is no true. If you can, I would like to hear your so-called evidence.

There are not enough people in the world today, assuming you believe that modern humans are only about 200,000 years old or so.

There are about 6 billion people on the earth. Do the math and work backwards and you'll find that the earth is probably only about 6,000 years old.

Also, if the earth were too far away or too close to the sun, then we would all die. It's the perfect distance away. That CAN'T be a coincidence.

Also, evolution can't be true, because it's no longer happening and if the earth is young, then there isn't enough time for it. Also, there are problems that have NEVER been addressed. How can the eye form from nothing? What about the missing link?

We know that Jesus was the savior because there were witnesses and writings about him. Why would all those people lie?

Christianity is the one true religion. Deal with it.Thoughts?

The Sabbath, 24-hours starting at sunset on Friday, is suppose to be a day of rest and personal/private communion with God. Going to church is not resting nor personal and private. It involves performing specific actions, and with a large group of people.

You hardly see other cultures embracing Blacks' religions and beliefs. Look at this 'christianity', but the whites and Asians etc do not get converted into the Blacks' religions. Why is it that Black people are ready to throw away what they have been born with and embrace foreign and dangerous doctrines from other cultures? We have 'black muslims' but real muslims can not follow the Blacks' way of life. They regard us as infidels! God forbid. You hardly see any white in Blacks' rituals and churches.
