Note: You don’t say somebody takes something on faith unless you mean that that faith is more an assumption than anything else.

A myth. Read "The Jesys Mysteries" and the gnostic gospels. Also check up on some ancient religious god-men like mithras and Dionysus. They are all carbon copies with some cultural embelishments.

OK , do we aren't suppose to say we take Jesus on faith so what about the Bible? I believe the Bible to be the infalliable word of God. I don't just accept it on faith but I believe that it happened just as I know 911 happened. I wasn't there and even if I had not seen on TV, and let's just say read about it in the paper, I would believe that it happened. The newspaper is written by men but not inspired by God but I still would believe it because of those who did witness it The same with the Bible and Christ. The Bible tells of all that happened and is going to happen from creation until Christ returns and there will be a new Heaven and a New earth.. What if we never saw our president but just heard about him, would we believe him to be real or a character of myth?
There's been much to happen to me in my life and without God's grace, I would be nothing. Jesus is just as real as this computer I'm typing on. I can see it but you can't so you have to believe that because you are reading what I am typing that we have an internet and that I am a real person even though you can't see me.
I can tell about Christ, I can tell of my belief in Christ but I can't do it for anyone else. Each person either believes in what the Bible says or they don't. The Bible has been around too long for and has outlasted any other book that I know about for it not to be real.
God gave His only son to die for a world He knew would not accept him for he who he is. My youngest son was killed in an accident in 1984, I did not give him up willingly, I did not give him up because of my love for anyone. There is not one person on this earth that I love enough to give up my child for but God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16.
It amazes me how people will trust what scientist say, or some web site, or somebody can write a book and they will believe that but when it comes to the Bible they want "proof" The real proof will be when death comes and unless the belief in Jesus is there, then their fate - well that might be good for another question.
Jesus is real, there is no myth about it. I don't remember the source but was told recently that the graves of boy babies have recently been found. Remember when Herod was having all the boy babies killed because he had heard of this "king" that was going to be born, there are many evidences that Christ is the sone of God There's been prophecies fulfilled and also the rainbow. To me that's one of the greatest evidences that the Bible is true and if that part is true, why wouldn't the part about Jesus be true? There had been no rain on the earth until the flood and then God sent thee rainbow as a promise that he would not destroy the earth with water again. I'm sure some scientist has an explanation but I like God's explanation better. If not being allowed to tell about Christ because of faith, then read the Bible and ask God to show you some kind of revelation about what you are reading You just might be surprised at what is revealed to you

Probably real.
First, we know many of the other character in the New Testament did exist. For an example, an inscription of the name of Pilate (Pontius Pilatus) was found in Caesaria, the capital of Judea in Roman times.
Second, the Jewish Talmud mentions him as a blasphemer, Using the name "Yeshu" instead of "Yeshua". What the Talmud has to say about Jesus is "Yeshu was taken out to be hanged (meaning crucified) because he use witchcraft and incited".
Third, cults led by some charismatic figures were quite abundant in Roman times, and ancient historians mention such figures like Apolonius of Tian, Simon Magus and others.
Jesus did exist, was considered to have superhuman powers in his time, and was crucified. It is not for me to say if he (or He) was divine or not.

i do no longer assume too much about it. i assume about it simplest once i ought to apply it for debate or to position in writing a chunk of writing for a mag. although, come to think about of it on the on the spot, i do not care adequate to entice any conclusions. Jesus will also be both or. If he's fictional, then probable the most formed reason is to apply him as a logo of righteousness, as do many faiths create deities for the precise same reason. If he's actual, properly, he will merely be a individual with some sensible words and at the same time as he died, a collection of human beings deified him, merely as Guan Yu from the three Kingdoms era became a god in a lengthy time period interior the chinese language dynasties for human beings Buddhism.

Jesus was and is real. He is the Son of God, the second Person of the Blessed Trinity. He will come again to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end. If you ask Him, He will make Himself known to you. You will personally meet Him and get to know Him. You will be able to answer this question for yourself. Seek Him and you shall find. Ask and you shall receive faith in Him. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. Faith is a gift, but if we ask, God can give us this gift if we want it. It is there for everyone who is looking for happiness and peace. God's peace and love be with you.

Jesus definitely existed.I'm sorry, but one page with half-baked arguments does not stand up to established consensus. He was not based on pagan myths,as all the themes of Jesus are found in the Old Testament, including the Messianic prophecies which He fulfilled.

Dear Friend

I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the one true god.

I believe that god performed miracles on the Earth through that one, who died and paid the price for our sins

I believe that God raised him from the dead to newness of life after three days

I believe he now prays at gods right hand for us

I believe that all those exercising faith in Jesus have the hope of everlasting life

God Bless

Jesus was indeed a real character. He was the son of Jacob and Mary and was a great leader who taught people a way of life. He had many followers while there were others who hated him. He was killed by the Jews by crucifiction because the jews felt that he was decrying their relegion. Soon from a martyr he was made son of god for the sake of putting back christianity on top of the other beliefs that existed. So he supposedly rose from the dead and was made god. His teachings were wonderful and he was indeed a messiah.

I think there is a lot of evidence that supports the existence of Jesus. The important thing, however, is whether or not you believe he is the son of god, and if you chose to follow his teachings or not.

You have already been told the truth. Why do you ask again? If you do not believe the truth than you are a liar and there is no truth in you. Are you of this world or of God's Kingdom? God be with you.
