Shouldn't there be just as many scriptures showing that the Holy Spirit is God?

I wouldn't exactly trust anyone on here to get my Scriptural information from. You would not believe some of the stuff people have replied to me in emails from here.

A lame attempt is made to make the Scriptures appear to say that the holy spirit is God. At Acts 5:3, Peter accuses Ananias of playing false to the holy spirit. In verse 4, Peter accuses Ananias of playing false to God. Trinitarians claim that this is proof that the holy spirit is God. Such a claim falls flat because if the holy spirit is God, why did Jesus say at Matt. 24:36 that there were things that only the Father knew? If the holy spirit were God, wouldn't it know all that the Father knew?

At Matt. 11:27, Jesus said: "No one fully knows the Son but the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Son but the Father." If the holy spirit were God, why is there no mention of it fully knowing the Father or the Son?

If the holy spirit is God, why would Jesus call his Father the only true God? John 17:3. If the holy spirit is truly God-third "person" of the trinity-it should get equal billing in the Bible. But it doesn't.

Although Christians believe in the Trinity - that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are in fact one being manifested in various ways - Jesus is the most visual representation for people, having been a living prophet. He also serves as a strong symbol for Christianity. The Holy Spirit, however, is a less substanstial being, and less controversial, because many can relate it to a conscience. There is no 'image' for the Holy Spirit, and it's a rather passive concept. Jesus Christ lived, breathed, preached, and died.
It seems obvious that people would be more interested in Christ, even though the Holy Spirit plays an equally important role.

Jesus Christ is not god he is the son of god john 3:16 and he was mad e in gods image. also at Matthew 3:16 Jesus was in the water being baptized, the heavens opened up and Jehovah spoke and the holy spirit was coming down the shape of a dove they were in three separate places , at john 14:28 Jesus clearly states that the father is higher than he is so therefore the could not have been the same as god (click the box on the right and type in Trinity and you will find out how it got started) go to the website bellow it's a great website

Here's just a couple examples, I hope they help:

We all know that Jesus is the son of God, read Mathew 1:18. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. If he is the Son of God, then clearly the Holy Spirit is God.

Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," Here it mentions the Trinity.

Some say they are 3 of the same:Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross at Calvary nearly 2000 years ago. He is the Word (God The Son, Second Person of the Trinity) made flesh (John 1:14). We are dedicated to proclaiming & defending the Deity of Jesus Christ. Holy Scripture shows many Bible verses that prove that Jesus is God (John 8:58-59) - and that He is also 100% man - which is why He is called the Incarnate One or the God-man. It is our prayer that this ministry will bring you to a saving knowledge of our Lord and will help you also in believing, proclaiming, & defending our Lord Jesus Christ.

It's not so much the number of references to the Holy Spirit being understood as God as it is an understanding that as one aspect of God's existence, the Holy Spirit, as God, performs a seperate function in God's ongoing revelation of Himself to us in a way that we can comprehend Him.
For example, I am a man, a father, and a son. As a man, my revealing of myself to others is quite different than when I reveal myself to my children as a father, and when I reveal myself to my parents or to God I reveal myself as a son. I am three distinct aspects of existence each of which performs and acts in different ways depending on the situation, yet I am one entity even as God is One. God is trinity and so are we.

no. why would the number of verses be relevant. if i tell you that 1+2=3 a thousand times, and tell you that 1+1+1=3 only once, does that make either one of them false?

Can you say... Trinity. You might want to investigate the answer for yourself. Ask a Divinity graduate or your local Bishop.
Why ask people who guess at the answers?
