Are you 100% sure your god is not going to be a bit pissed off because you only believe in him because the alternative is punishment? I would be very nervous to spend eternity with a god such as that, he sounds a bit unstable.
But, I'll humour you, if there is a hell then the devil will probably give me a box of matches so I can start my own business. The chances of that happening should be about even money for your god forgiving you for believing in him just to escape his wrath.

You can't be 100% sure on anything such as heaven or hell until after you die, because there is no way of proving if either of those places exist.
If you look at some of the NDEs, they contradict each other a lot, and it is something that will always remain a mystery to us so long as we are alive. You can't trust anything you read, even the bible has more contradictions than you could possibly count that it is hardly a reliable source of material to know that all of the so-called facts written there are 100% true.

Are you sure that your particular god exists, and not one that would send you to hell?
---
Pascal's wager:
"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"
This is, of course, false.
Some of the problems with the argument:
* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)
* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell
* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else
* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.
* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (somebody mentioned just today praying several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.
* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?
* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

I'm not 100% certain there is no hell, but on the flipside, how do religious persons know that their religion is the correct one? What if, for example, Hinduism is the correct religion? Does this mean that all Muslims and Christians are believing what they do all for nought? Unless one practices every single religion to ensure they are covering off the correct one (assuming any of them are correct), then they could very well be wasting their time. Atheists choose not to waste their time in the futile search for the "correct" religion.

specific, i'm. i'm additionally specific that any faith which relies upon on threats to maintain human beings in the fold is a faux faith. There are no ex-atheists who've been to hell and back to tell approximately it. There are hucksters who understand they could make stable money telling fundamentalists what they choose for to take heed to and laying on lots of lurid info. i'm having a huge gamble your "study" consisted of analyzing some tracts that claimed the Bible replaced into more advantageous and took passages out of context from the Quran to help its case. Christians who easily do self sustaining study and don't purely examine apologist writings tend to attain that the Bible isn't almost as suited as they have continuously been brought about have self belief. i'm specific you have heard lots of thoughts from people who suggested what your church leaders needed them to declare. i'm definitely specific which you have by no potential stricken to study the studies of non-Christians; your church basically provides you with people who might rely directly to help the social gathering line. the version between you and me is that i will comprehend propaganda once I see it.

I'm agnostic.
I wouldn't want to go to Heaven anyway if people get sent to Hell simply for being different.
