There is no afterlife until resurrection. You either live on or get annihilated after that. The afterlife isn't about praising God for no reason, it's about praising him for a reason. The reason is that he has perfect life supporting laws that keep us happy and protected from harm. In the New Earth you can

1. Build your own home and plant your own garden (Isaiah 65:21, 22)
2. Have a city mansion built by Christ (John 14:1-3.)
3. Sing and play heavenly music (Isaiah 35:10; 51:11; Psalm 87:7; Revelation 14:2, 3).
4. Worship before God's throne every Sabbath (Isaiah 66:22, 23).
5. Enjoy never-fading flowers and trees (Ezekiel 47:12; Isaiah 35:1, 2).
6. Meeting loved ones, patriarchs, prophets, angels etc. (Matthew 8:11; Revelation 7:9-17).
7. Study the animals of heaven (Isaiah 11:6-9; 65:25).
8. Fly and explore wonders of the universe without getting tired (Isaiah 40:31).
9. Listen to God sing (Zephaniah 3:17).
10. Realize fondest ambitions (Psalm 37:3, 4; Isaiah 65:24).

11. Being with Jesus (Revelation 14:4; 22:4; 21:3; 1 John 3:2).

Of course studying the wonders of the universe close up would be boring if you're used to doing life hurting mischief as a hobby.

Boring? What about the war that's going to happen to get rid of Satan? What about the great music? For gosh sake, I highly doubt we're going to be sitting on clouds playing harps. There will probably be all kinds of musical instruments up there, probably some that we've never seen before that are way more awesome than ones we have here. The Bible doesn't tell us everything we're going to do up there. We're not just limited to what the Bible briefly mentions.

Think about it: no pain. That means we can play all the sports we want to without getting injured. How cool would that be? I'd play a lot more of them because I wouldn't be worried about injuring my delicate piano hands. We could play football with Jesus!

Heaven boring? I don't think so.

And God singing? OMG that would be awesome...... :) :) :) !!!!

As much as I would like to know, I don't think anyone really knows exactly what will be in the future. Oh, I know the generalities from the Bible but even those things are subject to interpretation. But, I can't imagine being bored if I am priviledged to be with Jesus and or God, no matter where it is.

I can't imagine anything more preposterous than to say Heaven is boring. How can the ultimate love and thrills that await us possibly be boring. Totally absurd. Sorry, no offense. And I have never heard of anyone in Heaven being bored and wanting to come back to this life as we now know it. Never going to happen.
But eventually the New Earth will be our home. But that's now going to happen just yet.

My main criticism has to do with Exodus 23:13. Believers are told not to use the names of Heathen gods.
