God gives us free will to choose

It is not so much that God cannot sin , as it would be that God would have no reason to go against Himself, because He is perfect, and makes no mistakes. God gives mankind a will of their own so that a meaningful relationship can be had with them. If God were to make it so that mankind could not sin, then He would have to control their thoughts, words, and actions. Or, mankind would have to have the Holy Spirit, which would have to be something they have desired, and would love God so much and know that His ways are always the best, and in that sense choose to want to always do His will. So why not just create people God knows will be saved, and recieve the Holy Spirit, and not those who He knows will reject Him? The Bible answers this question : (Matthew 13:27-30) "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?''An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?''No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'" So if God were to remove the impact that all the non-believers have had, it would interefere with those who would believe. From bad experiences , and doubts , it can cause people to look to God and find Him. God is not wronging anyone for allowing them to have the will to reject Him, and they deserve what they get for rejecting Him. But it does go to show that God is able to use a negative and turn it into a positive.

Your example of a programmer giving two options to a program is not appropriate to this situation as the human mind is much more analytical than any computer. Yes, I believe God gave us the ability to weigh our decisions. However, although we probably don't know the "whole" story behind how Satan caused them to disobey God, the fact of the matter is that they made the choice out of selfishness and self centeredness. Oddly enough, bad choices today are often the result of the same emotions. Mankind will naturally always think of themselves first. That is why it is so difficult to be a good Christian (or any other religion based on obedience to one's God) We have to make the choice to set aside our own feelings for the express purpose of honoring God. Not out of fear...but out of love and respect. I see that as the major problem with Adam and Eve. They did not respect or love God no matter how much he had done for them. Unfortunately, many of us don't either. I think a lot of people are obedient because they are afraid of what will happen if they do not obey. The word "fear" is used frequently in the Bible but in the old languages, that word means to respect, not to be afraid of.

God sovereignly decreed that man should be free to exercise moral choice, and man from the beginning has fulfilled that decree by making his own choice between good and evil. Man's will is free because God is sovereign.
our choices is our own but the consequences of the choice have already been determined by the sovereign will of God. an from this there is no appeal.

No. Our freedom of choice is much deeper than a computer's. We can also learn from the consequences of past choices and learn to foresee possible consequences of future choices. Also we have a sense of self that computers cannot, and thus we seek self-protection. Also a computer has no particular allegiance to its programmer.

Yes he did. And look what it got us. If the program has the capability to weigh the facts, It will pick one choice or the other. Just like playing checkers. You have to be able to know the probabilities and the possibilities of each outcome for each move.

We all have the choice to obey God or Satan.
God did not make us machines, or robots.
He wants us to love him completely, not wavering in our faith in him., and freely choose to do his will set out in the Holy scriptures, the Bible , his inspired word.
Satan tries just as hard to try and tempt us to follow the wrong path, that is why we are told to in James 4:7 Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:8 Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.

freedom is the ability to do what we ought to do, to choose the good no one as the right to choose evil. We often do but we do not have that right. to think that freedom is the ability to do whatever we want to do would be licence not freedom

Yes, but apperetly, to many people hate god because of their own selfish pride which is why there is so much evil in the world.

Essentially, yes....however, the computer program's choice is based on a pre-determined set of conditions. Man's choice is not.
