Why, when somebody says "Excuse me, could I just squeeze past you?" do we move out of the way? The person has said that they wanted to squeeze past - why do we deny them that pleasure?

when i look at a fat people i feel disgusted. i cannot look at fat people because it makes me physically ill. i see them as lazy, smelly, stupid people. they blame it all on genetics which most the time isnt the cause for their weight problem! ive never met a fat person who hasnt blamed their weight on genetics and its annoying! i dont know their medical history but when they have a fit family but theyre the only lard ***, somethings not right! i want to get over my hatred for fat people because hatred makes me feel terrible! my sisters in law and mother in law are all overweight and i dont want my hatred to hinder me getting to know them better. my worst fear is to become even slightly out of my comfort weight zone ya know? i know theyre people too but it makes me sick to watch these fatties walk into mcdonalds or something and buy out the whole store! how do i get over this?

I work at a place were I enjoy the work. I like the people I work with but I hate the way the store is ran. I'm a college student and honestly the money is great for me while I'm in school. It's a huge financial relief having everything I want, and more. But the mental strain daily of the unfair work load/favoritism makes it hard to deal. I often blow up and end up throwing things or something of the sort, that I later regret. But it's because no matter how often I've talked to the manager, nothing changes, because he just doesn't care himself. The owner is even worse so going to him is 100% not an option.

The problem is the people I work with have the attitude "I don't have to work, so I'm not going to work" because people that have not been there as long and don't have 'seniority' have to do the majority of the work, while they watch TV or talk. I understand, who wants to work when you can get paid to watch TV? I split workload and help them why can't they help me? How do I deal?

The new commercial out for Tonka toys is completly putting young boys into a stereotypical role of 'being built differently.' What do they mean differently? Girls can't play with trucks? OH PLEASE!!! Hasbro toys has another thing coming to them if they are going to completly write off all of their female clients. Who agrees with me?

Personnally i am very against the whole political correctness thing where people get looked upon badly for wishing someone a Merry Christmas. I bring it up because a store i used to work at made it policy to say Happy Holidays and we were not allowed to wish someone a Merry christmas.

I think that we should all say whatever we like and everyone take a chill pill and stop getting so offended. I don;t know a single person how said Merry Christmas with ill intent.
What do you guys think?

You know the feeling when people have just asked or said something to you just a little too many times or at least enough to annoy you? How can you get these people to shut it once and for all without actually asking them to shut it?

Ok I saw that thing on yahoo about the clever ideas to propose. I got to thinking. Should it always be the man to do it? I have heard of women doing it. I think that by accustom that the man should do it. Not to sound sexist. That is just a tradition to me. What are your thoughts? Women can do it because I know they have every right as a man. But do you also think that it should be the man and follow the traditions?

I'm a college student who attends courses with huge lecture halls or teeny tiny classrooms. Either way the seats are cramped and most people don't know each other. Now my issue is that I have severe asthma, and I cannot be around someone who has just had a cigarette. Even with medication it sets me off badly. I don't judge people who smoke, they can't help their habit any more than I can help my breathing problems; but if a smoker sits near me and I need to get up and move I feel like I'm being incredibly rude. But it's either be polite and suffer for 2 hours or feel like a jerk and be able to breath ok. What's a polite way to handle this type of situation and smokers, how would you like someone to treat you in a situation like this?

I'm a guy who has kinda long hair. Its not that long actually.. my back side hair just covers the neck. that's not that important. The problem is that this one girl in my class room cut my back side hair for no reason..I dunno if it sounds right to you guys but I got pretty angry at her cutting my hair with the hole puncher. She didn't cut alot but it made my back side hair look unbalanced. I just frowned at her and cussed a little but she kept fuking annoyed me and later she spread a wierd rumor that I was about to cry or something ( which I never even closed to be. may be she mis saw my frowning expression or something). Do you think I should have hitten her??? This happened quite long ago but it keeps on coming up in my mind...What would u do if this happened to you?? And do you think it was wrong for a guy to be mad just because girl cut my hair?

My next-door neighbor at our apartment had a fight with her roommate and she came over to my place because she wanted someone to talk to, but dshe keeps talking with my roommate and not with me.

She keeps asking him for advice, she's only making eye contact with him, and when she left she told him goodbye but she didn't say a word to me. I was in the room with them when all this happened. She also told my roommate that he can go and keep her company later on tonight.

I don't get it. My roommate and I know this girl equally. I've never been mean to her and I never would be mean to her. But for some reason, she just doesn't want to come to me for help. It sort of hurts my feelings, almost as if she doesn't want to talk to me. I care about her and I feel sorry for her that she had an argument with her roommate.

I hate it when telemarketers call during the evening hours. Don't you? Especially when I am eating. I am really fat, and I eat a lot of food, dudes. I LOVE eating my food. Dude. : )

I get irritated with telemarketers. Especially their superfluous line of questioning. "Well, why aren't you interested, sir? Well, can you tell me why your Mom isn't interested?"

What can I say to politely make him or her shut up, and stop calling me?

All answers are welcome- even half-baked answers. Thankie Pooh!

I remember my junior high years. They were so pissed about people hugging that they had to broadcast it on the morning tv show. They showed male and female teachers hugging each other with a big NO on the screen. Instead they showed us we should high five because hugging might lead to sex. Bullshit, it's junior high. What is wrong with our education? My old princaple sent out hall moniters to patrol each hallway to make sure nobody was hugging. If you hugged once, you got a detention. If you got caught twice, you were suspended. If you were caught for the third time the district would hold a meeting to decide whether you would get expelled and have to transfer schools or not. What are your views on the subject?

I recently bought some clothes online and they just came in the mail. I tried on the jeans but they're a little tight, and the return policy says they can't accept "washed, worn, soiled, or altered" clothing. So since I tried on the jeans, does this mean I can't return them?
