I am going to start watching a neighbor's 4 month old son. I will be watching him for 4 hours 2 days a week. What do you think a fair price would be to charge per hour?

For someone to pop over to your home to visit you and your husband on a work night, not calling before they come...and bringing their 5 sick and noisy kids in tow??

Why are people leaving comments instead of answers? If you don't know the answer or don't want to answer then don't. Just because you opened up the question doesn't mean you automatically have to answer it. Also, what may be an easy answer for some, is not an easy answer for all. Please keep that in mind as you leave you smart *** comments. If I knew the answers to my questions, or if I thought they were easy, I wouldn't be asking them. Last thing, I'm really not looking for an answer to this question, I just want the people who answer these questions to try not to be such. . .jerks. =)

I've met girls with laughs that are annoying/obnoxious enough that I don't think I could date them based on their laugh alone. I am not a shallow person either. It would just drive me insane though, I could never listen to that on a day in and day out basis. My questions are - can they control this? Do they know their laugh is annoying as hell? If they do, can they change it or are people's laughs like their height and whatever they're given at birth they're stuck with?

The Omaha shooter killed 9 people in his attempt to become famous. Don't let this happen! Don't make a mockery of the people who died! It would be best if we could forget this whole thing and try to move on. If you have strong feeling about or against this please post here.

Often, when I am sitting at my lunch table with my friends (6 counting me) some random person will walk up to me, and tell me that some girl (that I have never seen before) at another table likes me or wants my number or some such nonsense. I tell them to go away and stare at them funny, but i still don't know why this has happened so often to me.
And while i cant speak for other lunch groups, in the area where we it lunch, it is me every time.

Any advice for how i can handle people when they do this, and any explanation behind their motives?

There is someone at work who helps me out all year long by voluntarily covering for me when I'm on vacation. I would like to give her a small token of my appreciation, even though I did not draw her name for Secret Santa. Obviously, I will give a gift to the person whose name I drew, but is it okay to give gifts to other people too?

I will try to make this as short as possible
My bf and I got into an argument last night
During the argument, he insulted my parents saying that they need a hobby instead of calling up on checking on me
I said maybe they should be like your parents then and take up drinking (his mother was an alcoholic and went 2 AA, his father isn't too far off)
He then went on to say that my family is poor and doesn't have a pot to piss in, etc
We made up after the argument, and then he told his parents what I had said about them and now they are mad at me
I don't think his parents should know everything about this argument
Also, I apologized after what I had said, which he failed to tell them
How should I confront his parents?
I don't plan on lying, I will tell the truth, but what is a good way to fix this

if someone bought you something as a gift and then asked you for money and you said yes but oneday the person disrespected you by cursing at you and talking down to you, and a couple of days later the person is asking you for the money but when you said no they cursed and yelled at you again, would you pay them the money even if they feel like you owe it to them because of the gift?

I work at the front desk of a hotel full time, from 7 AM to 3 PM. Sometimes I have another employee with me, so if I am feeling sick, I can go sit down or run to the bathroom (eek! it happens!). This coming week though I am scheduled to be alone for most of my shift everyday (it's finals week and most of my fellow employees will be studying).
The rules at my job are pretty strict. I can never leave the front desk un-manned, I am not allowed to have a chair at the front desk to sit down. If I need to nibble on some crackers or dry cereal, I have to sneak to the back office for moments at a time. When the phone rings, I HAVE to answer it within 3 rings.
I don't mean to be whiney... but my morning sickness has gotten bad again this week and I am really nervous about how I will be able to deal with it at work. I keep getting the image of being alone and having to run back to a trash can to throw up, with customers hearing everything in a line at the front desk. Any advice?

It's the last day of my college school class, and my teacher has called for a potluck, she wants everyone to bring a main course type dish. She is requiring us to attend or our final grade will be affected. I am on a $200 a month grocery budget and am struggling to get by for myself... I really can't afford food for a group of 20. I don't want to show up empty handed b/c that will look so bad! And I can't just not go. What would you do?
