take an earlier bus, by showing up continuously late may show the professor that you are irresponsible, or disinterested in class, or just plain disrespectful, it may reflect your grade, I would speak to him/her and let them know what your situation is.

If there is no earlier bus, and you are regularly late, see the lecturer at the earliest opportunity , either after the lecture or, if that's not possible, make an appointment . Explain your situation, and apologise. On entering the lecture late, apologise quietly, sidle in at the back, then apologise afterwards. Hope this helps.

Here's a list. I really do say this stuff, no joke, but you have to not care about anyone's opinion to do so.

A. "What's poppin'?" (people always crack up when I say this, don't know why. That's poppin' no 'g'.)

B. "Have you said anything important yet, or am I just in time as usual?" (You must have a heavy gang of friends to back you up for this one. If so, they'll follow you up with "just in time")

C. "Why you people staring? You never seen someone this fly rock up into your lecture?"

D. " Yeah, just keep staring at me for the next 10 minutes, I'm sure you'll all be getting your money's worth then..." (Sit down quickly then and there)

E. " 10 minutes late, 10 minutes early, I'm still going to ace this class" (Immediately start pumping notes into your brain.)

I know this is the etiquette section, but believe me never apologize for something that isn't directly your fault, it will just give the lecturer a reason to reprimend you afterwards for you "incompetence". However showing good humor will let everyone else know that nothing they're going to say will affect you.

You need to take the earlier bus if you know that you're going to be late every single time. There's no excuse for that. It's better for you to take the earlier bus and get to the classroom. You can also use the extra time to study and be more prepared rather than rushed.

If the prof looks at you when you come in, say " I apologize for being late" and take your seat quietly. After class, go up to the professor and apologize and explain your reasoning for being late. Also, see if you can get a ride so you aren't late. Check out the college boards for ride share. Good luck 2 you!

Take an earlier bus that will when you get to school you have time to wind down.

You need to go to the person in charge of that lecture now, ahead of any lectures, and explain the situation as you have done here. Obviously, then it will be acceptable...and you can just slither in without any guilt....

I would go and talk to him after your next class and explain to him your problem. He may think you are just not taking his class seriously by arriving late from time to time. I'm sure he will understand.
