I've had a grudge with an old friend for nearly 4 years and my other friends think its time to bury the hatchet, but I dont. They even tried to sit us down to work things out but I left the room before they tried to corner me in a room with him. I'm not even mad at him anymore, I'm just acting this way based on principal. So how long does it take you to forgive someone?

I called my friend last night to ask her if she wanted to get together today to go shopping. She told me she was already supposed to go shopping with her mother and would be busy most of the day. I took it that she wanted the alone time with her mom and so made plans for myself and did my own thing. Later today (around 3 or so) she calls me and I was hanging out with this guy I like so I told her that I would call her later. I got home about 6 and called her back. She was real distant and seemed to have really short answers for my questions. She was not the ordinarily happy go lucky person. I asked her what was wrong and she went on to say some stuff about her mom and that she was worried about her and just asked me about my day. As I was explaining where I was she buts in and says she has to go. When I hung up she called right back. I was a bit confused because when I said hello I could hear her talking to her husband on the other end and then she hung up again.

What about old men wearing speedos? Ugh!
What do you think is should just not be done?

I have noticed, after the age of 20, I started to receive little gifts like toiletries at Christmas, as opposed to larger gifts when I was younger.

What age should parents stop buying larger gifts for their adult children?

I think cards are a waste of paper and fuel. E-mail or a phone call are just fine.

My Mom wants to take a family trip to LA with me and my brother. Im 26 and my brother is 33. Im in grad school and he makes $200K a year..
Now hes suggesting we all sleep in the same standard size room to save money. Does anyone think this is wrong and inappropiate?
I told my Mom that a 33 yr old man should be sleeping in his own hotel room not in the same room on a cot with his mom and sister.
Im refusing to go if he doesnt get his own room.
Also im paying for myself, so is my Mom- shes barely making it.
Shouldnt he be treating us since hes the man of the amily making 200K?

Does anyone feel what hes doing is wrong and inappropiate?

I'm talking about adult "midgets". It seems awkward to look down and shake hands with them.

I'm friendly with my neighbors in my apartment building. I was on my way back from the mailboxes and my neighbor was just coming in the building, he smelled my cooking of beef stew and barged in asking for a bowl, I like the guy and gave him a bowl, after finished he proclaimed it was delicious and thanked me and we chatted for a few more minutes then he left for his own apartment.

I felt it was a bit forward but I enjoy chatting with the guy otherwise. He has made a few passes at me in the hallway but he has a girlfriend.

Here's what happened:

She's getting ready for a presentation, I'm lying in bed. From the adjoining bathroom I hear this loud shriek like a fire engine, something like "Woowoowoooooo!" and suddenly she bursts into the bedroom, in her slip, holding a hair brush in one hand and her foot in the other and hopping in a little circle, going "Ow ow ow ow ow!" I say, "Wussumatter, babe?" really slow and she says really fast and frantic, still hopping, "Hot foot! Hot foot! Hot foot!" She had dropped her curling iron and it rolled under her toes. I check to see that she's okay (she was?) but she's sitting on the floor holding her foot sucking and blowing on her toes through the hole the iron burned in her stocking.

So I laugh! Remember I already checked to see if she was okay. Was this "wrong"?

We have a bet on whether other women would think it was ok to laugh-it's a friendly bet and she's not mad at me, but I want to know. I won't say how I bet except by private email after you answer!

One of my mom's friends is staying over for the week and I can't take it anymore! He's sharing my bathroom and he's so gross. We left him his own towel but he keeps using mine to dry after showers and leaves hair all over the floor (NOT FROM HIS HEAD~) and keeps leaving the toilet seat up. I'm afraid to say anything to him or my mom what do I do?

Not often but sometimkes, due to my diet, I get unplanned, surprising bout of diarrhea. I have a two hour drive sometimes from work to my home. The other night, it happened again. I went to see if I had to go before I left work and everything was fine.

Almost home, my stomach goes "wooble wooble". I grab my stomach and i am thinking uh oh. I continue driving feeling nothing but my stomach making movemets. All of a sudden, what i thought was warning turned into an emergency. I had to evacuate some diarrhea and it needed to happen right then and there. I was on a two lane country road. I pulled over, ran into the bushes, dropped my pants, and pushed. I swear I must have squirted 2 feet. My stomach hurt so bad and I had cramps. Afterwards, I waddled over to the car. I had napkinds in my glove compartment. I wiped and threw the napkins on the ground.

After that, I went home and took a shower. My question is, has this ever happened to you? I can't be the only one!

Last night we had a school play. ( Look at my name) After the show we went to Friendly's to eat. Literally almost the whole cast of 45 was there. If it wasn't for the amount of money they made they would have kicked us out in a heartbeat. I told the waitress to take her time because i felt bad cuz of all the comotion. Anyways, we sit down and after 5 minutes a manger comes over to a table in front of us. The people were two women of about 30 or 40 started saying stuff like this: "This is ridiculous, these kids should be kicked out, its too nosiey in here, i want my food to go." then i overheard her turn to her little daughter and said: "Honey don't be like those kids when you get older." my point: Frist of all we weren't that loud. But honestly do you expect 45, 13 and 14 years old to be quiet when all of them know each other?? Does the woman not remember when she was 14?? We were just having fun and didn't mean to cause any trouble. If i was soo loud then i wouldn't have heard her.

I visit my dads grave site at least once a month. And my sisters grave on the major holidays. Their in 2 separate cemeteries. Always taking flowers or balloons depending on the occasion.

A month ago, a coworker I barely knew called me at 7:00 pm and told me he was hit on a bicycle and was now in the emergency room. I got there by 8:00 and he was banged up pretty badly. For the next 5 hours, I ran errands for him, took pictures (which he used in court), helped the doctor, ran him to a pharmacy, then took him home. I got home at 3:00 a.m.

He later told me that his settlement was big enough to cover medical bills, pay off all his debts including his new car and now has money to invest. He hasn't even bought me a soda. Should I be compensated especially since he used my photos in court?
