Im going to London, England for a vacation, i asked my supposed good friend for her adress so i can send her a postcard from there,, she says "well you can just hand it to me when you come back"
I was taken aback by that remark and have thought it was quite nasty and i am questioning her friendship with me, what do u think?

Maybe she felt like you were trying to rub it in. She might be jealous that you're going.
Anyone else would LOVE to receive mail from another country! How lovely of you to think of ME while you're on vacation!!!!
{LOL you can send me one....LOL}
Thats really weird! IMO!

Don't send her a card, she's probably just jealous and you will make it back way before the postcard ever does. Just find something nice and unique to bring her back as a gift. She might appreciate that more. If she still has an attitude, then ask her what is wrong.

First of all, as a friend how come you still don't remember her address?
Second of all, you were probably too excited to go and being inconsiderate of your friend who's stuck at home doing nothing with you gone.
But then again, your friend is probably the practical type. Why send it when you can deliver on your return next door? You make it sound like you'll be gone for ages. And that's not helping her.

It was kind of rude to me but as someone has said it may be that she is jealous because you are going and she isn't. Just put it out of your mind and enjoy your holiday. Buy her the postcard and hand it to her when you get back and then see what her reaction is and take it from there.

If you have been to her place so much, you should be able to get the address quickly. The front of her house likely has it and the streets have names. People leave mail lying around all the time too. Don't make a fuss, just get the address from one of these methods and simply send the card. She will feel like a jerk when she gets it and remembers how she acted towards you.

You can handle this several ways, but you can just be nice, and say well you know, it is a custom that when friends go overseas, they mail postcards and letters. That is how my other friends do it.
Yes, it is rude, and callous, but maybe she was having a bad day or bad moment, or is jealous that you get to go and she doesnt. Either way, be nice, dont be sarcastic and just explain what your motivations are, and she will probably come around.

I think that you are over reacting a little. I don't know what her tone of voice was but it just sounds like you are more excited about then she is. So don't take it too personally. Don't buy her a postcard if she doesn't want one or is jealous because you get to go somewhere cool and she doesn't, but don't stop being her friend.

She's probably resentful, or jealous of your ability to go on this trip and she can not for one reason or another. Unless you asked other friends to go and are going w/a group of friends and she was excluded form the invite, see we don't know the circumstances surrounding the situation.
Get her a post card, get her address one way or another before you leave, mention nothing more of it to her....When you send the post card write "Wish You Where Here" She's a Friend sometimes we just do our best to resolve issues and make the other smile w/o asking the whys to someones reactions. Your a friend you prob. know in your heart why she's upset and don't want to recognize it.

Though it is a bit abrupt, I wouldn't call it rude.
Most likely she thinks you'll be back before she gets the postcard, so why waste a stamp on something that you can hand deliver?

I would not send her a postcard and not tell her about the trip when you get back...sounds like her nose is out of joint for some reason.

maybe it sounded like "Im going to Hawaii, while ur stuck here, but i'll send you a postcard."
but i dont think it was that rude unless u said it in a snobby way, then it was kinda umm snobbish, but not ebnough to ruin a friendship
