It's your aunt quit being so picky jeez consider yourself lucky some people don't get any xmas cards for the holidays why do we always look at what we dont get rather then what we do. Family is a blessing even if they can't spell get over it

Oh and I think anyone who complains about any thoughtful gift they get is Rude.

Haha. My grandmother has spelled my first name wrong on every card for the past 25 years. I used to get upset about it, but now I just turn it into a little game - how will she spell it this year??

You could turn this into a joke as well. Send her a card with her name spelled in a couple different ways, or ring her up and call her by a several different names. When she asks you what's wrong, mention your Christmas postcard and say, "I guess stress is contagious!"

Maybe next year she'll just send you a photo of her bird finger instead. She didn't have to send you anything, but really it sounds like she was also sending you information on her state of mind and being. Did you notice that your Aunt was stressed? Do you even care? How dare she ruin your holiday with bad news? Happy Holidays, remember that the holidays aren't really about gifts they are about family...

Just think about it, she was thinking about you and that's why she wrote you the card. Do you know how many people in this world would want to have someone in life to think about them.
Oh, if I was you I would keep that card for years and years. Read it after 10 years and you are going to say wow but this time with tears in your eyes...

I think you aunt didn't intend to be rude. However, I do think that by pointing out that she is "so stressed" she is crying out for attention. She wants some attention, otherwise she would have shrugged it off and wrote a whole new card!

i dont think thats rude, at least she acknowledged the mistake. she probably didnt do it on purpose, so wouldn't get so worked up over it. just be happy you're getting a christmas card, some people dont get any.
happy holidays!

I would write a new card, but often times people don't think how much they may have truly hurt someone. Lighten up, everyone makes mistakes.

Merry Christmas.

I would've probably wrote out a new card as well.

But that definately shouldn't hurt you. I'm sure she thought you'd get a good chuckle out of it. And she obviously knows how to spell your lastname.

she was either short on cards or she's just finding a passive-aggressive way to see if anyone will ask why she is stressed ...

i don't think that it is outright rudeness, though, I think it is an attempt at something else ...

i wouldn't consider it a big deal ... if you 2 are close, maybe you should spend some time with her or something ....

If she had NO idea how to spell it, how could she possibly correct herself?

LOL I think it's an honest mistake. Would you have preferred she made the typo, and just didn't fix it nor acknowledge it??
