The Omaha shooter killed 9 people in his attempt to become famous. Don't let this happen! Don't make a mockery of the people who died! It would be best if we could forget this whole thing and try to move on. If you have strong feeling about or against this please post here.

I don't think we should forget because we learn from our past. The only way to improve conditions is to remember. I agree, however, that we don't need to repeat the shooter's name or plaster his face all over the television. Fame should not be granted to someone like that.

The media should list the names of the 9 people killed over and over and not his name. Then they would become famous and he would be nothing but a footnote, but that will never happen..

We were discussing this topic over dinner last night and I back you 100%. I think it was (this shooter) who was quoted in a suicide note “Now I’ll be famous.” and with the media’s invasive coverage pattern so far, that may prove true. I don’t think that a name or a picture should be given. Ever.

I have already forgotten his name. But I still feel sadness for the people who lost loved ones.

I definately agree with both of you....but isn't it kind of an oxymoron to be posting about it in the first place? ^.^
