Everybody says that I am loud but I dont notice it. The only reason I know I am loud is because that is what people tell me.

"Just how I am" is a total cop out. If you know you are loud, you CAN learn to tone your voice down, and should do that. People do notice others who speak loudly, and they generally judge them as being low-class, crass and uneducated. I'm not saying that you are, but to many that would be the first impression.

Humans are smart, we can adjust. You can learn to speak in a socially acceptable way.

No it is not how you are. You can pay attention to the level of your voice and should. People who speak loudly are annoying to others in most social settings. Think about how loud you are speaking, try to tone it down and be more respectful. And consider if you have a hearing problem where you don't think you are speaking louder. Have your hearing tested.

If you can hear other people fine, then I do not think there is a high chance you have a problem. If people complain about you talking too loudly, it is an easy thing to correct by just concentrating and working on it.

I think that is just how you are. However I have to admit that I am a quiet person and I get highly irritated at people who talk and laugh loud... I have often thought about this and I am not sure what to do about it. I usually give a dirty look and then walk away...

How is your hearing? If hearing is ok, then will guess your parents were loud talkers. Listened to neighbor and their child interact and from young age child learned how to be a screamer.

Get your hearing checked. Often, people who have trouble hearing will speak loudly. Not even knowing it, they're trying to get others to speak up so they can hear them better.

You might want to get your hearing checked. You could have a slight hearing problem which causes you to talk louder.

Nothing a matter with you, it's just a habit, but if there was something wrong with you, it'd be with your hearing (cannot correctly gauge your own volume).

I think it depends who's telling you so, maybe you've been talking to too sensitive hearing people or they just plainly don't like you to talk to them.
