i personally think i should be bitchy or ignore girls who even get in my business because they always talk **** about me. is this the right idea? i am a very nice person but they really hurt my feelings and i don't think they deserve my respect.

Them not deserving your respect is one thing, causing you to make an idiot of yourself is a different matter.
Don't let them make you into the person who reacts. You don't have to react to them, they aren't directing your movie. Be your own leading character and let them react to you.
Never be bitchy as a defense, it makes you look as laughable/ pitiful as a little kitten with attitude.
Bottom line: separate yourself from their gossip drama. To respond to them is to validate them & diminish yourself.

If you can't stay away from such insensitive bullies, then ignore them. Acting as if someone doesn't even exist is the best put off. Who cares what they say about you? You know who you are and your friends know who you are. You have no way to control how some people with low self esteem think of you. And believe me, most bullies have low self esteem. Hold your head up and act like they don't exist and move away from them as quickly as you can. They will learn soon enough that their words don't bother you. Soon enough you will be old enough to know how little this matters.

Just ignore them. Don't talk to them or have anything to do with them. You can do this even being in the same room as them.

Just ignore them and don't get caught up in their petty cat fights. Don't let your feelings get in the way, its nothing personal. As much as they talk **** about you, they do it to each other as well. They are friends to no one.
