Why are people leaving comments instead of answers? If you don't know the answer or don't want to answer then don't. Just because you opened up the question doesn't mean you automatically have to answer it. Also, what may be an easy answer for some, is not an easy answer for all. Please keep that in mind as you leave you smart *** comments. If I knew the answers to my questions, or if I thought they were easy, I wouldn't be asking them. Last thing, I'm really not looking for an answer to this question, I just want the people who answer these questions to try not to be such. . .jerks. =)

Then don't be so thin skinned. This is the internet. You are asking for civility in a world that has little. You have to take the good with the bad in this nutso atmosphere. And choose your questions carefully and don't ask crazy questions. With those types of questions you open yourself up to the rude answerers. Act as if you are personally talking to your neighbor instead of throwing silly things out there and you will find less rudeness. And follow the rules of the Answers community. It's not rocket science.

You need to read the Guidelines for this site.

Notice that this that you've posted here is a violation, as it's a statement, not a question.

Second, notice that not answering the question is also a violation.

So, learn the Guidelines, stop violating them yourself, and report all violations using the Report It widget.

That way, people will be informed that what they did is a no-no (as it's not useful to the asker), and their post will be removed (and they get docked points -- chronic abusers are banned).

To answer your question, a lot of people feel compelled to chime in on everything.

Many people just don't get the purpose of this site, and use it like a playground.

A lot of people click "Give me another" and then feel they have to submit something.

Some people are just after the points.

Sweetie, you are but one cog in the vicious circle of Yahoo Question and Answers, and you aren't going to change a thing by your whining and complaining. Therefore, my comment is to accept it, or leave the forum for happier hunting grounds elsewhere. Cheers, dear.

And you know what else, most people really don't care one iota what you think about anything. Your question came across as arrogant and smart aleck, so personally I have little problem in being insulting to you.

You have a good point. However, some questions deserve smart @$$ answers or comments. I mean, how do you respond to "I'm having my step-brothers baby" That person wants a comment. It wasn't even a question!
