depends are you in the way of someone's drive or something?
we have an idiot here who parks and makes it hard to move the car into the drive. I think they live around the corner, the car hasn't moved in weeks.
parking can cause headaches.. if you've parked obstructing someones way, well that causes headaches.
but parking on corners is stupid and dangerous if it's obstructing peoples views coming out.. some vans do it , so you have to pull out of a road very slowly.
it's a threat , so report it...

There ARE people who give threats they've no intention of following thru on, or ability to do so. Of course, your threatener doesn't say whether s/he intends flattening your car or you personally.
In any case: If you're parking on the corner, you're doing a bad thing, so why not stop? Your neighborhood and your car will all be safer for certain, and your body *may* be. Just because you got the notice from a cretin doesn't mean it isn't valid!
In Salt Lake City, the requirement is 30 feet from the corner. I think that's a little high for good manners and safety, but not by much.

This is an interesting situation. If you are parking legally unfortunately it is first come first serve so the note is inappropriate really. Getting along regarding street parking is ugly sometimes when there is not enough parking which is usually the case. I moved almost specifically to avoid that in my old neighbourhood years ago.
I hated that kind of street parking it seemed to be a no win for everyone. Most neighbours are really good about parking in front of their own place or near to it and leaving your spot alone but some aren't at all.
In my opinion a note with no name or nothing is not a respectful way to communicate with a neighbour. Be careful, keep the note. There are some real crazies out there.
Short aside: One of my neighbours who had a driveway kept parking on the street anyway. From time to time he parked right in front of my place taking my usual spot meanwhile his driveway was empty. Well this one time he was parked in front of my place and I believe Karma finally got him. The next morning a car took a turn too fast and rammed right into his station wagon totalling it. I was so glad it wasn't my car parked there........:)

If you are legally parked on the corner, you should continue to do so. Keep the note, in case there is another threat or damage to your car.
Some people do not realize that others are allowed to park on a public street.. On the other hand, if you are parked illegally and obstructing vision or something, whoever wrote the note should simply call the parking enforcement officials.

Living in a street with limited parking, I get frustrated by some inconsiderate twits - especially when they knock my number plate off! I left a note on his windscreen, which I confess was not very polite! If you live in a similar area, and you park considerately, I would suggest you contact the police if you get another note. By the way, had you parked on the corner? If the note came through your door, it would seem it's a disgruntled neighbour??

Bring it to the police station and let them handle it, unless you are illegally parked. If that is the problem, then move your car. If not, someone has made a threat against you and if you caught them in the act a confrontation may occur and someone could get seriously injured

I would most definitely be concerned. I would take a ride to your local Police Station, bring the piece of paper with the threat, ask to speak to a policeman, you may have to wait a bit ( be patient ) Tell him exactly what you have written here and that you're concerned for your safety. You could also call the non-emergency number to your Police Station and tell them the situation and see what they advise. Stress the fact that you are worried about your safety.....

You're probably causing a lot of near-accidents by blocking people's views and pathways.
Just stop parking on the corner.

Your car's much more likely to get hit on a corner. This guy has probably almost hit you a number of times. I'd stop parking there.
