try not to care about how the store is managed but just about the job you are doing. you have pride in your work, that's okay. do your thing. if you just can't get over it, then quit. because its not worth you being unhappy.

Is funny how life is.We can't be begger's and choosers so therefore you have to either pick or choose.
In my understanding in WORK is something normal and something maybe can NEVER change.
But,Imagine having a perfect job it would seem surreal and not normal.
So..maybe going to a new place will be worse or better but if you stand to long in one place thing's won't change for you.
You have to be a man and deal with it and suck it up and welcome to the real world.Life is not all rose's and there are the gray areas some can be fix and others CAN'T.
work is not life and there so you have to remeber when you go home.Work stays at work and home at home.I think you are confusing your thoughts with feelings and that cause's chaos.Don't do something inracional and right now is hard finding a job.So be grateful you have A JOB.
even if is not a dream or disneyland it sure beat's being a dead beat and you are not and you know that.So worry about yourself and not some loser boss. After all you are not going home with him.
I work with horses and instruct them for racing so..I know how demanding it is working with demanding ppl who want everything in there hand at once.
Don't stress over something so litle after all there are more
important things than work.
LiKE you life
and you should live it to the fullest and not dwell on the bad.
peace-

Dude I am in your EXACT same situation. It's ****** up. You love the people but you hate the bastards for not working as hard as you. I mean it just comes down to do you really like these people? For me it's like sometimes I do and sometimes I want to strangle them. You can just be a rebel and quit there are plenty of jobs out there that will be more fair...I know you can't stand the thought of quitting (I'm there too). So maybe stick around until you have some 'seniority'. In jobs like these, it doesn't take too long to reach that. But even then you will have to deal with people's ****. If you really want to stay there, you will have to be a little passive. I work in a restaraunt and the 'senoir' people and sometime new ppl don't do ****, so sometimes I say **** it they aren't gonna do the work I'm not doing it either and I go home. And other times I just do it. But don't be a slave, try and be as laid back as everyone else seems to be. If they tell you something, tell them wtf, ya'll aren't doing ****. Lol. Hope this helps.

RE:
How to deal with unfair work environment, but don't want to quit?
I work at a place were I enjoy the work. I like the people I work with but I hate the way the store is ran. I'm a college student and honestly the money is great for me while I'm in school. It's a huge financial relief having everything I want, and more. But the mental strain daily of...

First, don't do anything stupid, such as quit in fit of frustration. I found myself in that situation here a while back and thats what I did. Now I have a job I hate and does not pay the bills...
If I where you I would find a way to relieve the stress from work, something physical that really gets the endorphins flowing, and lets you imagine you beating the cr** out of those coworkers you get upset with.
I would also begin looking for another job in the same field, with similar pay and benefits, where they may look at things differently.

Time and experience in the "real world" will teach you that things are that way mostly anywhere. It's the way things work and it SUCKS, but there's not much we can do about it. We can stress and get sick because of it, and that won't change it. The only one who's hurting himself is YOU! Do you think that some lousy employer and colleagues are worth damaging YOUR health!?!?? I used to be the same way you are when I first started working. Then when I was doing my job really brilliantly, someone felt I was stepping on their toes and they got me fired because they were friends with the big boss.... I got SOOOO MAD because it was plain unfair. And I realized that your employers and co workers couldn't give a sh*t about you.... so I learned not to give a sh*t about them either!!! I becamse very laid back, I did do my job fine but didn't go the extra mile because I knew no one appreciated it and I wouldn't get rewarded for it....... maybe just kicked on the azz when they no longer needed me. So why waste my time and effort in them, especially when others didn't do their job and they got rewarded cuz they were "the boss's favorite" or whatever?? I just did what was necessary at work but nothing else, and off course refused to do someone else's work or help them when I knew they wouldn't help me back...... that way at least I saved myself some stress and disappointment. Believe me, it's better that way. Those ppl are not worth your stress and your feeling bad, that won't change a thing so don't even waste your energy on that. If you think that an anger management therapy would help YOU, then go for it. But try to take things easy because you'll find this very often during your career and stressing over it won't make it better, so you just need to learn to ignore it and mind your own business and not care about the others, not help others, not go out of your way to please your employers or colleagues. It's not worth it. Good luck, and if it gets really nasty I DO recommend that you switch jobs! No job is worth this damage to your health and well being.

Sometimes I have to wonder if education really makes sense. Forgive me if I sound a bit off the edge but let's face reality. We go to school/college/university and we pay thousands of dollars to be taught how to act in the workplace; to be civil and professional and to act without bias and prejudice and the list goes on. Yet, we continue to be like the dumb animals in the jungle; fighting for survival. I know that it is extremely difficult for an individual to function effectively when his/her environment is crammed with hypocrisy and unfair dealings, not to mention when management is involved. I believe that this entire world is living under falsehood and only the strong will survive. My advice to people is: We will never get rid of unfairness in the workplace, so try and be multifaceted as best as possible so that when these evil creatures rise up against you, you can look them in the eyes and remind them that they need you more than you need them.
Another thing, do not pay too much attention to negative behaviour in the workplace, if you do, this will cause you stress and poor health. Just do what you were employed to do and let them do what they are doing. Karma will catch up on them, believe me it will.

Most jobs are like that. Start getting used to it.
I don't mean to sound harsh but it's just the way the world works. And chances are if you could slack and not get fired you would too.

This happens at most jobs. Do what is required of you and do not help them if it bothers you. Take pride in the fact that you have a good work ethic. Do not go down to their level. Having seniority does not give them the right to not do their job. They are being paid to do a job and they need to do it. Since you cannot get it changed just ignore it. Since the money is good and you are just working there during school you know that your stay there is temporary. You will go further in life than these deadbeats.

that's life dude. learn to live with it in this environment because in the real world it is the same. ******* who don't do squat and get promoted. slugs who are late, leave early, and don't do squat while they're there get paid more than you who works like a dog.
get your college degree and get in a profession where hard work is rewarded.
