Ok I saw that thing on yahoo about the clever ideas to propose. I got to thinking. Should it always be the man to do it? I have heard of women doing it. I think that by accustom that the man should do it. Not to sound sexist. That is just a tradition to me. What are your thoughts? Women can do it because I know they have every right as a man. But do you also think that it should be the man and follow the traditions?

I would prefer it if, in my own situation, the man proposed to me, but I tend to be a bit old fashioned. I want him to open doors, ask me out, come pick me up at my house, all of that good stuff!

Hey... if she wants to propose... that's her business! But I'm not going to. Men are the fox, women the rabbit. It's pretty simple. I've never seen a rabbit successfully trap a fox! It's alot easier to lead, and let him think he's in control of the time line. Traditional gender roles, are traditional for a reason. Perhaps someday that'll change, until then, I'll stick with the way it is, was, and will be for quite a while to go! Where's my apron? I think I have the urge to bake a pie! lmao

Once in a while a man may be very much in love yet need someone to light a fire under him, but I think these instances are pretty rare. Something at the back of my old-fashioned mind whispers, "If he doesn't make the move himself, he probably just doesn't want to." Of course women have just as much right as men, but it's a matter of Mars and Venus, not of legality.

I would like it to be the man, becuase I would like to marry a guy who would be the leader in the home. Not because I'm lazy, etc., but because that is the role he is meant to take.

What difference does it really make? You will end up married (or not depending on the response) either way.
