Grey or navy would be fine. Wear it with a white shirt and black shoes and socks. If you have a solid black tie, good, but a black and white or grey pattern will also do perfectly well. No one will expect you to have a black suit unless you're working for the undertaker.

How should men dress for a funeral? Is your suit supposed to be black, no matter what?
Or is gray or navy ok?

All these answers about suit color and really you don't have to wear a suit at all. Dress pants or Khaki's with a nice sweater will work just as well. If you own a dark suit by all means wear it, but don't feel obligated to buy one just for a funeral

Traditionally everyone should be in black, however if the family has asked you to wear another color (usually white- and usually when a small child dies) then it is polite to wear what is asked.
