The new commercial out for Tonka toys is completly putting young boys into a stereotypical role of 'being built differently.' What do they mean differently? Girls can't play with trucks? OH PLEASE!!! Hasbro toys has another thing coming to them if they are going to completly write off all of their female clients. Who agrees with me?

Actually, I'm glad you said to put 50 girls and boys with trucks and dolls. I observed at a preschool center in my area and it was clear that boys do not only play in as much doll play as girls, but in very similar ways. put that in you pipe and smoke it

Boys and girls are different, but that doesn't mean we should pigeon-hole them. If girls want to play with trucks, than why not sell them to them? If boys dolls, make them some dolls. It is bizarre how toy companies alienate their own potential markets.

Put 50 little girls into a room with 50 dolls and 50 trucks. See what happens. Repeat with 50 little boys. Note results. I don't smoke. If your test does not have controls, then it is merely anecdotal observation and pretty much useless.

Of course. Sometimes I think sexism is dying, but then I see the corporate market trying to bring back the 50's. It's very frustrating.
