My boyfriend and I are disagreeing as to when the appropriate times are to wear a dressy hat for women. I think women should not wear hats at church, work, or a restaurant and they should only be worn during casual times. He thinks they are appropriate at any time. Please tell me your thoughts. Are hats appropriate at:
A. Church
B. Work
C. Nice restaurants

You dress sexy or when you do things the way you feel comfortable? I have no examples of this but I don't understand what makes you a "S*L*U*T" and why has society deem this as being a slut? Just because some girls are too ugly or lack self-esteem?

I'm going to catch up with them tomorrow and give them some money (he said keep it between he and I.... him helping me like this is what I mean) I don't know what I should pay him?? what do you think?

Now, I know that "little people" have a very hard time in society and everything is extremely hard for them. Yet, you still try to treat them normally like any other person. You wouldn't make fun of their height to their face.

But on my hand, i am short and people always rag on me about that all the time.

Why is it acceptable to do that to me and not a "little person"? I still have feelings also and I still can't do things that other people can do. I am still looked away by the other gender because of this.

Some people are too rash, judging other people on his or her actions or words without any proof that the person is the way he or she is. Some people think after reading or hearing what that person says that he is emo, snooty, or mean. They simply do not think that maybe that person isn't what he is on the surface. I'm just putting this up because I did a favor for a friend and put up his poem and everyone answers with " I'm gonna have nightmares now!" or " It was horrible, your friend is way too emo!". I'm just pissed off on how people are so dense, they can't see how a person is by only looking on how he acts. For example my friend is funny and nice and just because he made a poem that was in rememberance of one of the family members that had died a couple of months back he is now considered emo!! I can't believe some of the people on this site!! How can you be so mean??!!

Some people do not say a word of thanks after receiving a gift.
I am not looking for a thank you. Just notices it. I was raised to say thank you.

What do you think, they don't say thank you?

I just met this girl, and we seemed to really click. I'm just bad at getting things started when it comes to friends. (I'm not lez, I have a boyfriend, just not good at the whole social scene). Out of your experience, what would you consider the first "hang out" session to be? I'm 27(yea, that's sad, I have no social skills at 27). I don't beleive getting drunk is proper etiquett when you first meet someone, and I don't beleive inviting them to your home, our their home is proper either. What do you suggest I should do for entertainment? (In case you're wondering, I've suffered from social anxeity for years, and I'm trying to fight it), so any suggestions you have please let me know. Thanks! I really need a girls night out!

It seems like whenever my boyfriend's breath is particularly bad, he wants to be all close and cuddly. he just got off work and he wanted to tongue kiss, whisper in my ears and then he started blowing in my face because he knows i hate that and thought it was funny.

WTF?! His breath smells really bad today. Couldn't he tell? When my breath smells bad, I either pop a mint, brush or avoid being close to people.

Invited to a 'Black Tie Optional' event. I don't own a tux and don't plan on renting one. This is an evening ball that is a charity benefit, so it's not work related or a wedding. I don't know anyone there and it's mainly going to be some of the fat cats from the community. I plan on wearing just a plain dark blue business suit. Surprisingly though I don't own a white shirt. Would it be ok to wear a blue shirt with matching tie? I don't know why I'm worrying since we'll only be staying for like an hour anyway and I won't know anyone, but I don't want to stand out. It seems like Black Tie Optional is more or less just telling men to please at least wear a suit and not just khakis and a sportcoat.

We are moving next week, and I would like to do something nice to introduce ourselves to our new neighbors. I'm NOT throwing a party or anything. I am going to be to busy unpacking. I just want to leave something nice on their doorsteps (dont say doggie-do please. HEHE!!)

I've heard of people doing something like a basket of muffins or whatever, with a note attached that says something along the line of "Hi, were you new neighbors. We have __ kids, a dog, and we are from ______" .

I dont have alot of money, and there are ALOT of neighbors. Any ideas?

I almost never answer my phone, preferring instead to "let the machine get it" and then returning calls when convenient. I usually check the messages promptly and an urgent call would be returned right away. But why should I put up with interruptions to whatever I am doing, whether it is reading with my kids or even watching a show?

I'm not sure how much to spend or what to buy them. They are both 47 years old, and they are going to Cuba in January so maybe something related to that? I'm not entirely sure what though, but I want to get them something original and thoughtful. I'm thinking i'll spend around 50 dollars, if that sounds right?
