this depends on the circumstances, how busy you are, if their is a crisis.

If this person IS a friend, why would you not want to return the call?

If you don't want to talk to this person how good of a friend can they be?? Since life is so short I think that you should take care of the really important things and not waste time doing something non-important if you don't want to. But some things are important to do that you won't want to do so you need to decide if this friendship is important to keep strong, or not. sorry if i wrote that in a non-understandable way...

Well I think it would be rude not to return a friend's call. After all it is your friend. If someone did not return my call, I might wonder if that person was my friend.

If you don't feel like doing something, it's probably best if you don't do it. Unless it's important. A friends phone call can be put off until you're ready to talk to them. You can always tell them that you were busy or indisposed.

If you say you are going to do something, then you should do it. You don't get to decide whether or not today is a good day to be a person of your word or not. Just don't say you are going to do things if you don't have the intention to come through to the very best of your ability.

Timing is everything. The call could be important. When you call back you could find out what's going on and if it's just to talk, you could tell him/her that you're just not in the mood to talk right now. After all, it a friend. 'Do unto others ....as you would want them to do unto you...... right.

well, if they're a close friend then they probably wouldnt mind, but if they're not that close, then no...not until you feel like it
but it really depends on why you dont want to return the call...if you're sick, then dont
if you're just lazy, thn just get off your butts and do it, it might pay off in the end

You should never do anything you don't want to. But, if you want to keep the friendship, you should return the call.

You sure you want to be friends with this person? 'Cause that's no way to maintain a friendship.

Think on it, if you called someone would you want them ignoring you? Just call and keep it light and short.
