Think about the person for a few moments and then analyse your feelings and let your heart guide your hand
I'm sure you'll be fine.

Just something simple like " such happy memories of.........love, then your name. Everybody there will know she was young. People do go round read notes on wreaths, just to see who didn't send one I think. It is personal so you keep your emotions and grief off a card for all to see. I am so sorry for you, talk about her with friends who enjoyed and loved her as well and you can say how you feel then. And the good times - can't put that on a card and the laughs which is never done. I was going to put on my aunties wreath something like your were a feisty old devil and drank like a fish but boy did we have fun - would not have been appreciated would it.

XY,
First, let me express my condolences to you on the loss of your dear friend - you lost something special here as well.

I can only suggest a message for the living family members. Something like "Mr. and Mrs. Smith, "DAVID" (the name of the son or daughter, etc. here) was and always will be a special friend to me..." Keep it short, but the impact should reflect the nature and closeness of your appreciation of the life that has been lost.

This is merely a suggestion - actually, anything you do WILL be appreciated. Go to my profile, and search one of my early questions on a tragic event that occurred in my neighborhood over this past summer. You may get some ideas there as well.

Best to you!

Gerry :)

How close were you? You don't want to sound too offhand if you were best friends and vice versa. Did she have a favourite book or song you could quote? You don't just have to put a traditional 'farewell' message. Think up something you think she would appreciate, maybe even laugh at. I know this is corny, but I'm very sorry about your friend.

To a dear friend: There is no more wrong and no more right. One day we will be reunited in the light. I will be your friend always. Peace and love in the Lord!

I am sorry to hear about your loss BTW.

Write on the card as if you were speaking to them. It is your way of saying goodbye , or what ever you believe in. Write what you feel you need to say so you can move on. It might not make any sense to any one else but it makes sense to you and it makes sense to your friend

it is always difficult particularly with one so young. Perhaps if you know her quite well: " A sad loss but the World is a better place because she has been in it "
