This retarded guy always calls me fat, and it gets sooo annoying, because I am not even fat! I'm one of the skinniest people I know, and I don't get why he is always saying that. I have made it clear to him that I hate his guts, and I usually just tell him to **** off whenever he comments me. But he is really annoying and embarrassing. I need some comebacks?

I know this is a freakin idiotic thing to be scared about but thats just how I roll...Well I left me gym bag at school with my iPod and everything in it (things that arnt even supposed to be in school like Cell Phone, iPod, gum, voodoo doll er...i mean...well whatever...) and if my school finds a lost bag they look through it and if they find something that's not supposed to be there they take it away and wont give it back til the end of the year...Especially cells and iPods, they listen to them and look at the pics...And I am worried because I have "innapropriet songs" (by their standards) and pics of Criss Angel shirtless lol...Yeh your right I shouldn't have even had that dang thing at school but I need something to do on the long car rides home. Sorry I burdended you with my silly problems but it helped to complain about it haha...Anyways...

Do you think it's right they can go through our stuff like that?

Would it seem strange, or incorrect for that matter, to wear a white shirt with a wing tipped collar other than to highly formal events.
In other words, are they *only* meant to be worn with teuxes, and at weddings?

I'm deciding to wear one with a waistcoat, and a thin black tie essentially, but sort of out and about, (me, having a slightly bizarre style).
Not that I'm too worried what people may think.

my first couple of times were disastrous. high school.....dont even want to think about that. i was a nerdy kid.

then there was the time at a car dealership i worked at. it was my bright idea that we were going to do "new owner clinics" i designed the whole program to have the customers feel more comfortable with coming to the dealership for services and getting to know the personnell. so we each of us had a "bit" that we had to get up and talk about. (my boss let me take a shot of cognac beforehand because i was nervous) i said 2 words. there were about 40 people in the showroom. i locked up. done. forget it. no words were coming out of my mouth.
he covered for me.

the next time i had to speak, i was receiving an award for the company. it was the chamber of commerce meeting, 200+ people, a podium and a microphone. flawless.

i think the larger the crowd, the easier it is.

i am actually looking forward to my next opportunity.

scary, isnt it?

What is a nice way to get around the hand shaking thing? I just hate it when someone puts out their hand for me to shake and I don't want to hurt their feelings, so I shake it.

The thing is, I don't like to shake people's hands, because I know way too many people who don't wash their hands like they ought to.

Help me! I don't want to be rude, but I don't want to pick up all their gross germs either! What can I say to get out of it???

I would like to express using a good word. For instance , we know a saying like " Don't judge a book by its cover." This is a good expression to tell someone not to judge a person by his/her look. Someone did the bad thing to influence my life so I am writing a letter, and I want to know if there is a good expression. Thank you.

Example: Sometimes I'll be coming around a corner, spacing out, and nearly collide with someone. I'll just say "Scuse!". 'Excuse me' is just waaaaaaaay too long and would be taking up time that I could use for other, more important things. Like waiting in line or something.

We live in a nice, safe neighborhood which has become the #1 spot for Trick or Treating in our area. Police are on hand to direct traffic, children and adults arrive by the car/van load and some hire and decorate flat bed trucks and load it up with children. This is a very well behaved group and there are few problems and I have never heard of any vandelism. With good weather, I can expect about 400 groups to come to my door. In past years, I have started in late August getting goodies bagged up to hand out. It bothers me that I don't know these children, they are not from our neighborhood and many are not even from our town.

This year I have not made up the goodie bags. I will be filling up plastic pumpkins with treats and delivering them early in the day to the neighborhood children that I know and see almost daily. Does this seem reasonable? Some of my neighbors say they really enjoy the evening, but I have noticed that more than a few are "dark" on Halloween.

My neighbor is frequently stopping by without calling to tell me something obvious or something that a phone call would suffice. It's not like our houses are right next to each other, there is a small wooded area in between and he usually drives over (which is ridiculous in its own). I really like my privacy and am getting sick of this. How can I discourage it without burning a bridge - I definitely don't want to cause problems since we're neighbors.

You know, I hear these stories, and it really frightens me what rationalizations men use for violating women and how widely accepted they are. Men are responsible for their actions, and it's not a woman's fault if a man is perverted, yet the woman is blamed. I mean, I understand something like low-riding jeans with a thong sticking out is ridiculous, but a woman should have the right to not have to cover up her legs 24/7. And there seems to be this double standard for women with big breasts where anything we wear is too revealing, I mean, I don't even wear in-your-face cleavage shirts- I wear shirts with regular or high necklines most of the time, or something with just a little cleavage once in a blue moon, but I get these "looks" no matter what I wear. I never buy anything in too small a size. I mean, if men want to look that's one thing, but then don't hold women responsible for your dirty thoughts. Don't accuse a woman of "sending a message" because that's all in your head.

My 6 yr old bro just told me that his teacher hit him on the thigh today at school and he broke down in tears and told me that the teacher also pushed him over and said "I don't want to work with you anymore."
She has also slapped his wrist before apparently 2 yrs ago.
I have only just found out about this.
The headteacher (principal for you americans),, is holding a meeting before school tomorrow to discuss it. I am so angry at this teacher.. I am 14 by the way.
What is appropriate action to take?
And i will NOT be at the meeting tomorrow because I have to go to school myself.

I sell cars, and I am very honest. In fact, most salespeople are very honest because if they are not, they will be fired by their manager. Times are different now for salespeople than 20 years ago. If you are not honest, then you won't have a job. But answer me this; Why do customers LIE to me all of the time. They lie to me about why they are trading their car in (when their car has a bad tranny) . They lie to me about a "better deal" they found somewhere else when in fact there wasn't. They lie to me about supposed problems with a car in my inventory and then when I ask them to show me (there is no problem). They lie to me when they say "We'll be back, we are very interested" and I never hear from them again. If there is anyone out there who has no respect for a car-salesman, you need to reevaluate and ask yourself. "WHY?" At what point were you lied to and when exactly did they MAKE you buy a car. And "if" they lied to you why didn't you tell their manager?

There is a set of JW that blanket my neighborhood twice a week for their house to house preachings. The first few times I answered the door and was very polite to them although I am Baptist and don't believe what they believe. The first time I opened the door they were made aware that I am a Baptist. Anyhow, I was having a birthday party for my daughter (I am aware that they don't celebrate birthdays or any holiday). I had lots of guests and balloons on the mailbox. It was obvious that I was having a gathering and busy at the time. Here come the JW ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door. I thought that it was very disrespectful for them to interrupt my child's gathering to preach to me when they already know that we do not share the same beliefs. I informed them that I was very busy and having a gathering. It was like the information didn't register to them. They kept talking. I finally had to say thank you for coming by and shut the door. Why don't they have more respect...

So Im in a dorm for the first time in my life and it seems like everytime that Im changing or something, my roommate stops what she is doing and starts up a conversation or just plain stares at me. It really creeps me out. When she is changing, I will roll over and look at the wall or whatever. Ive had to resort to changing in the bathroom, but its really starting to freak me out. Should I directly confront her about it?
