Why are people harsh on other's actions or words?

Question

Some people are too rash, judging other people on his or her actions or words without any proof that the person is the way he or she is. Some people think after reading or hearing what that person says that he is emo, snooty, or mean. They simply do not think that maybe that person isn't what he is on the surface. I'm just putting this up because I did a favor for a friend and put up his poem and everyone answers with " I'm gonna have nightmares now!" or " It was horrible, your friend is way too emo!". I'm just pissed off on how people are so dense, they can't see how a person is by only looking on how he acts. For example my friend is funny and nice and just because he made a poem that was in rememberance of one of the family members that had died a couple of months back he is now considered emo!! I can't believe some of the people on this site!! How can you be so mean??!!

Casha and Willaim, thx for cooling me down, your proof that people in this site ( did not mean to offend yahoo! this site is great) are nice too. Thx again guys( or girls, or girl and boy, or boys ^_^) And I am not sure if I'm going to put it up again, I don't like to see my friends being insulted again.

hahaha man theres attacks already.
well check it this is what social sciences is all about anthropolgy and socialogy to be precise. but you know the reasons without going to school. gossip,rumors,slander.ect. theres a couple things going on here. all of us do it. attention... people spreading those lias and half trueths getting an adrenline rush from the reaction and all the attention.
greater then.. attitude. we all want to be the best an the center of things.
low esteem... alot of times people "clicks" pass on these things to get the fire of them.
wow ive had good and bad said about me i had a job were there was a rumor of drinking issues i offered to take a drug test complained to the boss about the rumors and before i left i asked for a test on the spot. they wouldnt give me one.
i over heard him in this gossip sortly afterwards.
its not very fun.
in my case it was just gossip people love it
but sometimes people people just ask for it and do things for the attention of gossip. sometimes people do reckless things just for the attention.
the thing that both parties have in common is they both want attention. they want to be the alpha for a short time. usually when the attention dies down the gossiper or the excibhitonist will do something else to get the attention back. atheles do this by preforming some othere great act preformers to so other great act.
if you dont want the attention its hard to beat. you have to ignore it. if someone comes with an accusation just ask them how do they know? then how does that person know? where did you get your facts? wheres your proof? i hate to say it but do acts of kindness SO PEOPLE CAN SEE and be a witness to it. in grad school- highschool this is just bad and our teachers and admistrators just dont want to do anything about it. lol alot of times our teachers start this on the students.
really who cares what people on call your friend.
this is what i do.
some says "something stupid" i shacke my head and say "pffft" and walk away.

I feel it is because they dont meet the others expectations. Simple. Otherwise perhaps they are just rude and judgmental. Even jealousy. Don't sweat it. It's like if we didn't have rainy days, we wouldn't know to appreciate the sunny ones.
As for this site, most I have found to be realistic, honorable and respectable, however, there are some real A Holes I have found too, even sick people who post dense sexually related questions that are obviously posted for some sick reason rather than due to a real concern and posted by a real immature and obviously troubled individual. So again, we need the loosers so we can really appreciate the good people here who out number them by far. Keep on keepin on and Have fun!
ps: What is emo? and I'd of luved to had the chance to read your friends poem!

I find it amazing some of the answers on this site -- it's quite obvious that some people are so quick to answer, before even reading the entire question. Sometimes, the question isn't even addressed.

Don't judge the entire site as being harsh. Only a few are. Most of the answerers are very polite, articulate and forthcoming.

And in reference to your friend's poem, it may have been too deep and intellectual for some of the readers, and perhaps the reason for so many negative responses -- your friend's talent was simply not appreciated.

Hi.
Everyone you meet in this world is totally and entirely fake. Simply put, everyone has different judgements and veiws. People judge others too fast, but in the end they might learn that the person they judged is really another person...and they regret judging them to fast. Typical teenagers in high school like to make fun of other kids - its all about the drama. They are insecure about themselves so they stereotype or label others....Hope this made sense.

Of course there are some bad answers to every question here, but don’t take it personally. Most of the people here are fair and well balanced emotionally.
