It seems like whenever my boyfriend's breath is particularly bad, he wants to be all close and cuddly. he just got off work and he wanted to tongue kiss, whisper in my ears and then he started blowing in my face because he knows i hate that and thought it was funny.
WTF?! His breath smells really bad today. Couldn't he tell? When my breath smells bad, I either pop a mint, brush or avoid being close to people.

I don't think it's physically impossible to tell, but I think that people don't perceive their body odors like others do. It could be that he just doesn't notice. If you want to be tactful then you could offer him a stick of gum or a mint after you take one, or you could be direct and tell him that his breath is bad and that he needs to fix it especially if this is a regular occurrence.

Night vision- a side effect of bad vision. Some people get better hearing, you got night vision. Animal mindset- probably from being around and into wolves. Camping/ night walks- so? Tons of people do. Visions- because you're so used to/ into them. Hearing/ smelling- your bad vision. Instinct- that's 'animal instinct', which everyone has. Alive at night- probably because that's when you can SEE. Growling- it happens when people are mad, agitated, confused, or Tim Allen. Lycanthropy means you think you're a wolf, it's a very real and serious medical condition. Loup-garous effect? I think that's reading a Russian chant to become a werewolf... You're not an idiot. Sometimes you can feel it because you have a bad taste in your mouth, as someone else said. But sometimes it really is impossible to tell, unless someone else tells you. When I eat something that has garlic in it, even if it's a small amount, my BF can tell immediately, no matter I brushed my teeth twice before kissing him (or even just talking close to him) and got rid of the taste. I think the smell comes from deeper inside (stomach), but I really can't feel it........ only my BF does. So I guess your BF isn't being nasty, he just doesn't notice. Let him know but in a tactful way..... my BF isn't that "subtle" sometimes....

one way I can tell is, I lick the top knuckle of my thumb three times and let it air dry, if i smell anything except skin smell? i guess...I pop a mint or some gum. Wierd but I heard that technique a long time ago when i was about 10 and I have been doing it ever since haha

Apparently there are people who dont think about their breath. We have one doctor that has such bad breath, it makes your make-up melt. He's the nicest man in the world, but when we get together in a small room-I consider it cruel and unusual punishment. Vis a vis your bf-keep mints handy for him and hand him one when he has bad breath. Maybe he'll get the hint, but at the very least, it will be easier on you.

all of use may seem to not know that we got bad breath right under our nose. bad breath is caused by a unhealthy and dirty mouth. if you have bad breath, and to be able to know it, you need the honesty, concern and kindness of someone close to you. if your relatives and special someone are close to you are concern about you, they will tell you honestly and tactfully, so that you may avoid some future embarrassments.

Why don't you offer him a mint? And don't forget he just got off work, and was sweating all day. I think you should be a little more understanding that the first thing he wants to do when he gets home is cuddle with you. Geez.

My exhusband had bad breath all the time and he couldn't tell. I would give him mints, gum, anything....
Sometimes when you tell people they have bad breath they blow it in your face and think they're being funny.

I think it depends on how strong your sense of smell is. I don't think people want to have bad breath, and they would probably fix it if they knew/could.

Sometimes a person has to go to their dentist. Not every one quite knows about good oral hygiene.
