Most people come here to ask a question & get a good answer with out having to search for hours on the net. They pour their heart into some of these questions some even offer personal information & all they get back is rude unneeded static that really doesn't help answer there question. So why is it that people can't just give a helpful answer & NOT a hurtful opinion?

I have nothing against either & have a tat, plan on getting more.My friend uses her tats & piercings(eyebrow, lip, cheek, tongue, & some I don't see) to say she is being discriminated against when it comes to getting a job, yet she refuses to to take them out/cover up before an interview or even upon getting hired. She lives in a very small, narrow-minded town where jobs are scarce & sadly, people DO look down on such things.I've always admired her for standing out & being herself but when it comes to feeding your family & doing your part(she lives w/ her boyfriend, who works his butt off for peanuts & they have a daughter who just started school)do you think you should suck it up & sacrifice your "uniqueness"(not so unique anymore-almost everyone I know has @ least one, if not more, of either or)or stand firm in the face of the working class society?I would really appreciate some good insight here...

Ok me and my husband just moved into an all white neighborhood. We were a little scared but we loved the house. The houses are 400,000 and up. Not trying to boast but we are very much wealthy and intellegent people. Now our neighbors are starting to move away and I think it is because of us not being white. Should I be offended?

This weekend, my boyfriend and I, and a couple of friends will be going on a small road trip to a city about 3 hours away to go to the lake. The plan from the beginning was that my boyfriend and I would drive together, while the rest of the group agreed to either ride together or make arrangements. One person going, Neil, had invited a lot of other friends and planned to ride with them. Now, his friends have said they are unable to go. Neil is very high-strung, which makes it hard to tolerate a 3-hour car ride. He has now volunteered himself to say that he will just ride with my boyfriend and I (I’m driving my car), because he knows I’ll say it’s ok. The deal is, it’s not ok. My boyfriend and I would like to drive down together alone, to avoid having to chauffer someone around, and to just be able to spend quality time together for a 3 day weekend.

So, my question is, when Neil calls to ask if he can ride with us (yes, he hasn’t even asked me yet), how’s the polite why to say no?

Okay this guy first of all does not work. He smokes like crazy and our doors face together and I get all the smell that has become a permanent stench in our home. My boyfriend has allergies and can't handle it when the smell comes through.
But that isn't really the worse part. The annoying guy knocks on our door ALL the time. When he first moved in, he started to come to our home to borrow the microwave until my boyfriend gave him the hint several time to buy his own. Now he has been borrowing the cheese grater- several times too. Yes the freakin' cheese grater! And it's been over a week since I last saw my cheese grater. Last night he knocked on my door to ask us if we would like some pasta. I said okay to be polite. And he said it was in the works and he would bring it by when it was done. Big whoop- there was never any pasta.
So my question is how the heck do the get my cheese grater back and get this guy to stop knocking our door just to bother us? Please be civil.

My name is spelled "Leslie" and I always introduce myself as "Less-lee" with an "s" sound. Most first names have only one pronunciation, but mine has two. Practically everyone I work with uses the one I dislike and do not identify with.

In my college mechanic class the guys are always rowdy and disruptive. The teacher often has to pause, or offer for them to get up and teach instead of interupting him, or just gets annoyed from some of the students some of the time. But he gets along with all of us and laughs sometimes, so it doesn't bother him so bad.

I on the other hand dont even like these guys, and are really annoying me since I've spent most of my life savings to pay for school and want the best benefit. Also their conversations are usually immature garbage kiddie jokes.

I'd really like to just stand up, turn around, tell all of them to shut the F up, then if one of them even breathes heavy at me, smash their head into the desk and jamb their nose into their skull with my knee. But I dont want to go back to jail. I have too much at stake to mess myself up on these young kids (there only 4 years or so younger BTW Im 23, they are 18-19)

How can I to tell them to be quiet without sounding too aggessive?

1. Would you consider it cowardly to double team your opponent?
2. Would you consider it cowardly to sucker punch your opponent, or have someone else do the deed?
3. Would you consider a "one on one" fight beyond the idea of a fair fight.

The Miss Teen USA contestant screwed up the question and answer portion of her contest. See the following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WALIARHHLII.

Yesterday, her face was plastered all over the cable networks, MSNBC, Foxnews, CNN, and all the morning news programs. I couldn't help but think how callous that was. They were laughing and mocking the poor girl.

Did anyone else find that to be in incredibly poor taste?

Gazoontight sounds like something you say in an informal setting or to a 3 year old. And "bless you" might be offensive to someone who, quite honestly, doesn't want "your blessings". What is the PC way to acknowledge a sneeze?
