golf, boating, fishing, just about anything that isn't "juvenile" ! 50 years old today, is a lot different than being 50 even 30 years ago. Even at 60 people are in better shape than they used to be. Being 50 doesn't mean you're ready for the rocking chair. Nowadays, they'll put a jet engine on that rocking chair and "invent" a new hobby !

What does your age have to do with your hobbies?

Hobbies are supposed to help you enjoy life and if you enjoy a hobby (can't think of one) that is ONLY for 20yr olds so be it!
Why only stick to many boring hobbies that older people do (no offence to those who enjoy the what i find boring hobbies, obviously everyone is entiteld to an opinion) just because your are 50???

Enjoy life, do what you want to do. If there are some hobbies that you enjoy that are sports but you are physicly unable to do them then that is different but it has nothing to do with your age!!

What do you enjoy doing? Reading, writing, playing a musical instrument, walking, crafts, woodworking, metalworking, painting (the house or art), upholstry, fishing, collecting something (whatever interests you), traveling, learning to cook a new cuisine, boating, golf, building a canoe, models (ship in a bottle, etc.), knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, making little gifts for children that you can give away at christmas (or other holidays), visiting nursing homes and cheering up the lonely people there, visiting veterans in the hospitals, driving people to go shopping etc. (go to your church and ask the pastor who in your community needs some help?), volunteer to teach something you know about to people who want to learn (VISTA), write letters to friends (everyone loves to get a real hand-written letter), make ditty bags for soldiers overseas. Get creative!

Photography. I find as I get older and wiser, my perspectives change and my photographs take on more meaning. Plus, I want to pass on thousands of photographs to my grand children and their grand children so they can see what I saw when I still walked the Earth...
