Today at work two coworkers were complaining about my work and we were all in the same room together and I could hear them.
What's a good way to handle this situation?.

I work at an EXTREMELY fashionable clothing store which of course does not sell clothes for overweight people. Today some ladies of CONSIDERABLE GIRTH came in and were rather DISTURBED that we did not have anything remotely close it their sizes. I explained to them that we simply do not carry sizes for METABOLICALLY CHALLENGED individuals. Now let me tell you what, these gals were EXTREMELY upset that I referred to them as METABOLICALLY CHALLENGED. I thought that was the correct term these days, I mean I didn't call them FAT or CHUNKY or anything. My boss told me I could have said a lot worse and told me not to worry about it. What is the correct term for our overweight friends?

Please note, I am 16 years old and rather spoiled.

Thank you and good day.

i don't want to sounds like a whinnier about it, but its getting really annoying. I live in a condominium complex, we have one assigned parking spot. There are several other unmarked spots but are usually utilized during the weekend by other guests. Consequently guests park on my spot. I then have to walk a block or to in search for a spot. Things i've done:
1. attended board meeting and explained situation. They said they would re-paint the spot and send letters to all residents reminding them of assigned spots.
2. I have left notes on windshields of those who parked illegally but it does not seem to work.
3. politely asked neighbors to remind their guests of parking in unassigned spots.
4. contacted local police to have cars ticketed or towed (police wont come bc its private roads)
This is becoming a nuisances when we have inclement weather or coming home late at night.
When i purchased the condo it was part of the unit, how come i cannot do anything about this? i feel helpless

I told her I was calling the police if she did not move and she still set there, then I got pissed and told her I was gonna kick her *** if she did not move, she rolled up her window, I called the cops and gave tag number then she left.

Hello, folks.

FOUR times in my life, I've been taken aside by supervisors to tell me that coworkers have complained of an odor about me. One time, I believe it was because my plaster walking-cast got wet in the rain. But the other three stymie me.

I don't wear clothes that aren't clean. I shower every day -- sometimes twice! I frequently wear two pairs of socks, because I know that my feet sweat a lot.

I use deodorant / antiperspirant always. I don't always wear cologne -- my dad used to tell me I wore too much -- I might have issues still.

At one point, I was going to the gym immediately before going to work -- thusly, my dirty gym clothes were in a bag below my desk.

I can't afford to buy a lot of new clothes, but am afraid that there's something in my wardrobe now. I also can't afford to buy new shoes -- I need to make them last a long time.

I don't know what to do. It's demoralizing to here this from a supervisor. I need your thoughts.

Thanks, y'all.

Have you ever noticed that people on boats wave to everyone? They're so nice when on their boats . . . and people riding horses and ATVs do the same thing. So I'm wondering why they feel more at liberty to say HI, while people driving cars usually give you the finger . . . Any ideas?

My twin sister would yell @ me all the time, & when I told my foster mom, she used to say, "How can she fuss @ you & she's your age"? Do you have to be an adult to fuss? Is fussing like verbally chastizing a child? Was I taught wrong about the idea of the difference between fussing & yelling? I think they're the same thing.

When I was in foster care, the foster mom would embarrass me in front of her family, & they would laugh @ me. So later on, they would make up lies on me, just to see me get fussed @ so they can laugh. & also if you fell down the stairs & broke your leg, they found that HILARIOUS!

A lot of times I joke with my close friends about things you can't talk about in public. You know, the type of convos where nothing is off limits. And I'm almost positive other people (most people) do it too. And I get to thinking we all do this sort of thing talk in our own circles but we never say them in public. I imagine everyone reading this knows what I mean, even if they won't admit it. And I can't even name some of the topics I mean because people would "act" all offended when they know the truth- that they talk about these things in private too. It's just politially incorrect to say them in public. My question is, anyone know exactly what I'm talking abou? And why is it we can't talk about this "stuff" in public if we all know deep down we all do it?

What is your opinion on being opinionated? I'm super opinionated and like to voice my opinion, but more importantly I like to hear other's opinions too. I'm not closed minded at all yet I always get nagged at for stating my opinion.... Do you think being opinionated is a good or bad thing?

I know that I have. When I entered the new school district for 4th grade, I thought it would be a pretty friendly community, but it isn't. All the school kids hate me and still do, because I came from another elementary school, and they think I am some kind of weirdo or something. I have no friends and I always sit alone in the lunch table, because none of the schoolmates would let me sit with them, and when there's group projects, none of them would let me work with them, and when we work with partners, no one ever picks me, so I always had to be by myself all the time, and when someone is forced to be my partner, they act like if it's a total nightmare to be partners with me. And when there's lunch time, people would throw food at me, and I have very little self-confidence let me tell you. And on field trips, I usally have to sit them out, because if I go on any field trip,You'll usally see me by myself because no one will hang out with me and everything. Sometimes people will tease

I'm not talking so much about Y!A, I expect it on here. I'm referring to the lack of basic grammar and spelling in the 'real' world such as resumes and formal communication. Will it just continue to decline until we're reading a cover letter saying, "i'm jus want da job cuz i qulifyed nd iz edumicated"? WTF?!

Not only does it make the individual look like a complete moron, I won't take someone seriously if they communicate with me like that through formal channels.

I've been at this company for 3 years. It's a business casual atmosphere. Two other guys went for the interview in their regular Bus. Cas work clothes. I don't want to try and show them up, but I think it would be cool if I wore a suit. It may show the interviewers I really want the job.

Note: The position would also be a business casual dress. What should I do? Thanks in advance!

My boyfriend and I recently bought a house together; but ever since, many friends and certain members of his family have been asking "When are you getting married?" and "When do you think you'll have kids?"

We are in our mid-twenties and very happy with the our relationship. We haven't discussed marriage OR children - we are enjoying the status quo. I don't like other people pressing these issues, especially frequently, which some have started to do.

I don't think either issue is anyone's business but ours until we've made future plans and wish to share them. I don't want to offend anyone, especially his family. What is a polite way to deflect questions like this?
