Today at work two coworkers were complaining about my work and we were all in the same room together and I could hear them.
What's a good way to handle this situation?.

I should perhaps preface by stating that I am very patient and calculating.

I would meet with my supervisor and speak to him/her frankly about the quality of my work. I would make a point of mentioning that the reason for my concern is the comments made by so-and-so. This not only makes the supervisor aware of their actions but does so in a manner that shows that you are more concerned with your performance than with their opinions.

I would then do everything in my power to gain a position in the company above those co-workers. And then I'd smile and savor the various possibilities.

But that's just me.

Before you make a rash decision, you might want to analyze your work, is there any validation to what they are saying? Are they on the same level as you-position wise? Are they people you have to work with on a daily basis - would causing waves today make more trouble for you tomorrow?

Depending on those answers, the best way would be to confront them-and let them know you overheard what they were saying-and how it made it you feel.
Or you can ask to speak to your supervisor and inform them of what happened & you are asking for advice.

Keep in mind though, if you are not pulling your own weight at work- you would want to correct that issue also.

I've had the same thing happen to me. I walked in the room so that they knew I heard them. Shut them up real fast!!!
As someone else said though, this might be a way to evaluate your work habits. I got very angry, but I took what they said to heart. These are people that I have to work with everyday, 50 hours a week. I saw it as a way to improve myself and to improve the environment of those around me.
Like you, I wish they would have had the guts to say it to my face...

Call them on it - ask them what it is you are not doing correctly so you can correct it. If it's not something you feel needs correcting, take it to your manager and let them handle it. They should not be talking about you with you right there, if they had any balls at all they should be talking WITH you.

Approach them and bring the problem out into the open. Have an open discussion instead of avoiding it.

A good long stare at them can deliver the message very effectively.

Go to them and be like "Whats your problem?"also call your manager and tell them that your coworkers are being rude and disrespectful and that they are lazy

Address it with them first and tell them if they have a problem w/your work to take it to your boss. Then go to your boss to give them a heads up and that you expect their boss and HR to be informed of the "gossip" and harrassment. (Assuming it is just gossip and your work is up to par)

Stand up and say very loudly "I CAN HEAR YOU!!!!!" See what they say then.
