I am married to someone sho does not smoke and actually I like it. We have been married for 28 yrs. I respect him enough not to smoke around him or in the vehicles. I don't like a smokey home either.
I smoke because I just plain enjoy it so when I get the chance I do relax and enjoy it. It doesn't bother me otherwise. I can go a week or two without smoking when we vacation and it doesn't bother me one bit.
I think it is more mind over matter. I know when I can and can't smoke and that is fine with me. As long as someone isn't telling me I can't smoke or is in my face about how I will die from smoke. He nearly lost his life in a motorcycle accident. He was given a miracle, what he did lose was part of his leg. He doesn't tell me how smoking will kill me and I don't remind him how dangerous motorcycles are.
I look at the benefits.... I smoke very little but I am satisfied. It doesn't cost me much because I smoke maybe a pack a week. A little more if I go out with friends who smoke.

I would. Just about every guy I dated didn't smoke.
I would smoke outside though.
Just don't nag me about smoking, I smoked when you met me, so maybe you should not have approached me if you don't want a smoker.
I think the question should be - would you date/marry a smoker....bet the answer is NO -

I would, as long as they didn't have a problem with it. I've always dated (and I married) men who were smokers, so it wasn't an issue. If anyone had a problem with it, I assume it would be the non-smoker in the relationship (saying you have bad breath, your car smells smokey, etc.) and they wouldn't want to date me.

I smoke. My partner doesn't. It hasn't been a problem.
A previous partner, also a non-smoker, was more sensitive to smoke. During that relationship I would go outside to smoke. I didn't mind so smoking wasn't the problem then either.

Yes, I smoke, my partner doesn't and we are fine.
As long as he doesn't try to make me stop and i don't try to make him start there is no problem. I think that there is more to love than whether someone smokes or not so it's not an issue.

I wouldn't mind, and if she is tolerant of it, she is probably a keeper. Also, nothing would hinder eventual quitting (again) more than two smokers who light up afterward.
