I hate wearing too much clothing at home. Delivery people and neighbors sometimes see me. Should I cover up more?

I didn't realize, until today, that I am not as humble as I thought I was. I have a job I absolutely hate, but need for now. I have been slacking my butt off and I know dang well I have. Well, today it caught up with me and one of my contractors got upset (rightfully so). I was always taught to take responsibility for my actions, and while I was on the phone with her I did. I was very professional about it. After she got off the phone, however, I was so incredibly pissed at her for being pissed at me! I was so mad I left work, went home and drank a shot of Jack! What the heck is that about! Have you ever felt this way?

Well, she lives with her family. I've only met the mom once-she just graduated from High School. I do want to make a good impression. Any tips or advice on things I should be aware of?...Father's day is this Sunday and they have been kind of enough to let me stay until Monday-so I'll be there for Father's days. So, I'm sure family stuff is going to happen-how do I accomodate myself to not feel like out of place or like an intruder?.I'm very excited. It's been over a year since I last saw her.

My friend owes me money but I don't know how to politely remind her. It's just a small sum, but I won't be seeing her for a while so I need to remind her ASAP.

My aunt Laura called me tonight to let me know that her and her husband are renewing there vows in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary. The problem is that she asked me for my father's address. My parents have been divorced for about 5 years (after 26 years of marriage). My mom is still bitter towards my dad and refuses to attend anything (even my daughters bday party) if he is there. I know that my aunt hasn't talked to him or had any communication with my father over the last 5 years. I also got the impression that she does not intend to tell my mom that she has invited him. To me it is inappropriate for her to invite my father, but it is not my place to tell her who she can or can't invite. She also knows that my mother will likely explode and cause a huge scene if he is there and that it will become a huge family arguement. I don't know what I should do. I don't think I should ask my dad not to attend. Should I warn my mom or act like I don't know anything if he shows up.

They always seem to be moaning at young children, if they play ball, or make too much noise, they are often so rude to the children, and yet expect respect! I think it is so sad, why do they do this?

You are having dinner with a hot date at a fancy restaurant. Suddenty a man runs in and shouts that the dead are rising from their graves and stalking the land, devouring the living. Everyone gets up to flee. Do you leave a tip?"

We live in a duplex home ~ (2 houses that are side by side and connected). We don't have a landlord (some people think we do for some reason?) We own our house. Anyway.. the people in the next house make noise sometimes all day ~ I can hear music sometimes, I can hear them walking around, and the worst is the pounding/banging noises we hear sometimes. I have decided it sounds like either a door slamming really REALLY hard or a kid is jumping off his bed.. constantly! Or maybe even somebody being slammed against the wall (we have also heard yelling sometimes too) It shakes our house - I'm not lying.. it's that bad.. sometimes we are watching TV and suddenly.. BANG! and our house shakes. Then it will happen again.. for like up to 10 minutes with 3-5 minutes of silence in between. Oh, now it has been happening around 4:30 in the morning!! My boyfriend doesn't want us to go over and talk to them about it. It's getting very annoying. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Why is it that people are so mean to individuals they can clearly see needs a seat, talking about pregnant women, being newly pregnant myself most mornings I am unable to get a seat on the subway allot of individuals they look at u then your belly u your belly is as if they are trying to figure out weather its worth giving up their seat on the train. To all the people who find it to hard to give their seat up, one day u gonna need someone to be kind to u and it might be that once pregnant woman u refused the seat on the train. Be kind it just takes a heart beat.

My family and I just bought a new home about two weeks ago. Starting about a week and a half ago our neighbors have been having band practice or something EVERY night and day in a garage building in their backyard. It is so loud that it sounds like a concert going on next door. This goes on until almost midnight. We did not want to call the police since we just moved into the neighborhood and we just didnt want to cause problems but when we have tried to knock and ask them about it they do not open the door, so we wrote a note ( a very nice one) and put it on their door, but they still are playing so loud. What would you do in this situation...should we just go ahead and call the police? Thanks for any help!

I have a white sundress I've only worn once to my graduation three years ago. I would like to wear it again. I am not sure what the bride is wearing, but I'll bet it's white, too. Could I possibly put a colored sweater or capelet over the top or should I nix the white dress altogether and buy something else?

Recently, a salesman came to my house and tried to get me to buy an overpriced water filter. I said no after his 2 hour presentation. Anyway, he said a lot of blatant lies during the presentation which I knew weren't true. I just smiled and ignored it, but I wanted to call him on it.

I have a co-worker who typically wears way too much cologne. You can smell the cologne for at least 5 minutes after the guy has left the room. He leaves a cologne trail wherever he goes. Not only is it smelly, it makes my eyes burn and it makes me sneeze like crazy. That said, he's a _really nice_ guy, and I know it would embarrass him terribly if someone addressed him directly and asked him to tone down the cologne.
What is the proper way to handle it? I'm thinking of asking my friend in HR if there is a policy on scents in the office (i.e. no candles, no incense, etc.), and if so, asking her to send a polite email to employees just to reiterate the scent policy. We have more than this one person going a bit overboard with cologne/perfume/strong-smelling lotion/etc. I just notice this person because he's on my team and I work with him daily.
Any ideas?

My cousin sent me an invitation addressed to me and only me. The RSVP card does not have a place for a guest to be added. Can I still bring a date?

Its far away and a cash bar and if I can't bring a date or get drunk I might as well not go! LOL
