It depends on what type of job it is. If it's a serious job wear some sort of suit...skirt or pants. If it's not suit-level serious where nice slacks (or a skirt to at least knee level) and a nice top (modest...nothing low cut). Look well groomed and be confident in yourself!
And don't think too much about it. I am shy too and get really nervous. The more I worry about it, the more nervous I get! Just relax, brainstorm questions you think they might ask (what are your stregths?, where do you see yourself in 5 years?, etc. and be prepared to tell them about yourself--not your life story, just in relation to the job field). Also, when they ask you if YOU have any questions, have at least one. I would research the job a little and go with questions in mind!

Go to ROSS or Marshalls and get yourself some grey or black slacks. Make sure to wear a pressed button up shirt and a tie if you have it. A solid polo-type shirt with NO LOGOS will do also. Make sure not to wear tennis shoes. Nice dress shoes are appropriate. You might also take some time tonight to prepare by looking up typical interview questions online, and how you are "expected" to respond to them. Your appearance is important, but I'd say it only accounts for about 25% of your interview. Good Luck.

you MUST look proffessional. I see a lot of people (last time I went to a convention like job interview) who looked really bad. Some women had slutty looking clothes. for a job interview you don't want to look like a slutty outfit is your best outfit. don't overdo it with tons of make-up and stuff. if you're a guy, just have some nice light or dark pants (shorts are a big no-no). The shirt should be the nicest shirt you can find. if you don't have anything very nice, go to a store and have someone help you look for a nice shirt.

Don't wear a tie if you are a female. A nice skirt or slacks with a blouse or dress shirt is always fine. Or a dress, but make sure it is below the knee, and pressed. Do not wear flip flops or sandals, wear closed toe shoes and panty hose.
Be yourself. Smile, make eye contact, shake hands with a firm grip.

dress nice no jeans or t-shirts. be honest and try to stay relaxed. don't fidget a lot. Make eye contact, that shows you are confident. give a firm hand shake. I would also say don't be negative about your previous job but since this is your first you don't have to worry about that. just remember the person interviewing you is just a person like you. good luck! let us know how it goes.

Neat, clean, well-ironed or pressed clothing appropriate to the job for which you are applying. No jeans. (one idea is to "spy" on the interview location ahead of time and see how people in that location dress for work)
Be yourself. Smile. Be honest. If you are sitting for the interview, sit on the front edge of your chair and lean slightly forward. It shows that you are interested and eager.
Good luck!

Dress simply, nicely and modestly. Say things that come naturally to you. No need to pretend to be someone else. Smile a lot and think before answering the questions. Shyness is not a problem at all. Be as shy as you want.
