I didn't realize, until today, that I am not as humble as I thought I was. I have a job I absolutely hate, but need for now. I have been slacking my butt off and I know dang well I have. Well, today it caught up with me and one of my contractors got upset (rightfully so). I was always taught to take responsibility for my actions, and while I was on the phone with her I did. I was very professional about it. After she got off the phone, however, I was so incredibly pissed at her for being pissed at me! I was so mad I left work, went home and drank a shot of Jack! What the heck is that about! Have you ever felt this way?

I feel you. Don't have an attack or something, it is called life. We all have to face up sometime in life and it looks like you had your turn. Just remember what happened and use it in your daily life to help prevent it another time.

Well, like you I might not be as humble as I think I am. I've had my share of incidenences...and although I believe in taking appropriate action for the situation, I don't think I would do that if that situation were me-I guess becaus we can talk and preach, but in the end can we do as we say?...if so, then we're good. But by the story I gave, I need to work on it. I am trying. Only time I ever apologize is when I truly know it was all me, but if someone else had fault, I agrue like no one's business to make my point.

Yea it's OK. Don't think about it too much. You did not do anything wrong that you would go to jail for. life is tough. You remained stable on the phone. Good job.. That is 100 points.

I wouldn't know since I have never been wrong.

Seriously I think most people do have a hard time admitting when they are wrong at times and nobody really likes to be wrong.

Sometimes it will make you feel better when you do admit that you were wrong and others may appreciate and respect you more for saying you were.

Not really. But then, integrity is very important to me.

Though, I can say that you are not alone, because despite what people are taught about not being sore losers, or owning up to what you've done, normally they don't. "Passing the buck" as my brother regularly calls it, is common practice.

Absolutely especially when my mistake proves to be wrong. This is a time when you cannot compromise on anything.

Sure, no one likes to be told they're doing something wrong. I believe it's called EGO!
