Do you find it irritating when a cashier tells you your total and doesn't say "please" and then after completing your transaction doesn't say "thank you", but maybe "there ya go"?
Also, when they just plop your change back into your hand and don't count it back! What ever happened to good customer service?

I am the mother of a young toddler, and am obviously very pregnant. As we are going about our day strangers will come up and ask how old my daughter is, and how far along I am, and then proceed to give me their opinion on the correct spacing of children. I'm sure it is not their intention, but often what they have to say is negative and hurtful to me.

Whenever I am online, I leave my messenger on . Sometimes people on my list IM me and want to talk to me, usually when I am in the middle of doing something, like writing an email or reading something on the Internet. As a result of that, I might be a little slow in responding or I might be a little quiet and do not say much. People would get upset because I do not give them my full attention. I don't get it. I mean they initiate the talk when I am busy with stuff and I am being nice to talk to them. I do not get mad even then they disturb me like that. Do they have the right to be upset?

stick the word "LOSER" on his forehead while he tans in the sun completely asleep and snoring? The outline of loser will fade away with his tan/burn after a few days so no real harm done. And what about some suger to sprinkle on him too. maybe the ants crawling on him to eat the sugar will make him put some clothes on next time, or at least some shorts so we don't have to see his naked naughties next time.

Is there a more pathetic job in the whole wide world then a bathroom attendant? Are we so lazy that we need someone to turn on the water, pour soap in our hands and give us a towel? Then you expect a tip? I didnt ask for this service.

This is backwards, isn't it? Why all of a sudden the change? I've seen it at Walgreens, Target, Aldis, and more.

My husband and I bought our house about 6 1/2 months ago and have been working on it ever since we moved in. We have been so busy these last few months we haven't had a chance to have a housewarming party. We would like to throw one and show off our home. Is it too late? Thanks!

My daughter was recently hospitalized from an accident. She now needs special treatments not covered by insurance. Therefore, my church was generous enough to take up a special offering to help with the expenses. I have tried writing thank-yous, but when i read them, they don't sound appropriate enough or elaborate enough. Please help.

We went to a new(for us) restaurant(his boss suggested it, he eats there all the time). My boyfriend said he didn't know the boss would be there with his wife. They did not join us for dinner, but invited us for after dinner drinks. They picked up the tab. I say my man still owes me my birthday dinner or is it thought that counts. By the way, finances are not an issue and we hardly eat out(2 in the last 3 mos.) How do I bring it up?

I am an American English teacher in Korea.During the morning opening exercises to the Korean flag when they play the music or at other times during other meetings when Koreans put their hands on their heart I dont do that.I just put my arms down and hold my hands at my mid-section area.I feel funny pledging to another flag but I dont want to offend the Korean people. Can anyone help me on this?I will appreciate other Americans input on this and also Koreans input.Do you Koreans think I am rude for not puting my hand on my heart or is that ok or it doesn't make a difference? I was brought up by my parents to show good manners.

I am curious what others think of this tipping etiqutte question. I work for tips and have no problem offering to anybody that I make less than minimum wage. However, I have often found myself in restuarants and thinking to myself, I wonder how much the waiter/tress makes an hour.(I have never actually asked someone) Not that it would make a big difference in the tip, but it just seems like anybody who expects a tip as part of their job should be willing to reveal their wage.
