Is it more polite to silently let out a fart in public such as a elevator or office and claim it or not ?

Well, just from my vast experience, I can tell you the harder you try to silence it, the louder it will become. It is as impossible to silence as it is to continue peeing while you sneeze. Can't be done.

Imagine a balloon full of air. If you just let the balloon go it will " WHOOOOSH" and that's it. But now try to squeeze the neck of the balloon and let it out slow. See, it screams and hits pitches that would kill a dog and shatter glass, plus take a lot more time to finish up.

I say hold it if at all possible. ( Oh, and don't try to cough to cover the sound. That never works either. It usually comes out as " Cough"...FART or FART.....Cough. No ones timing is that good.

You can blame you kids or a pet, but best not blame your wife unless she is known for farting in public.

That's not a hard question to answer. Hold the fart. My husband farts everywhere he goes and digs out his *** in grocery stores and malls. Need I say more?

well, if there is just you and one other person than obviously that person will know it was you so you should claim it apologize.....if there are several people around...wrinkle your nose and make the "who did it...was it you"? sign to those around you.

Be silent, NOT OBVIOUS, and then find a reason to leave the premesis.
