I am having a BBQ party tonight (beer, swearing inevitable!) How can I invite the neighbors without having the kids come? Is it rude to say- "If you need a break from the kids come on over!"

Antonio my...well, I'm not sure what to call him, hence the question, has just gotten into a big snit about it.

So much so that he ironed my tuxedo poorly and laid out a very unbecoming tie for my dinner last night.

For example, "You have really nice skin."

Is it better to say "Thank You" and be done with it? Does that sound conceited?
Or is it better to respond with something like "It's thanks to my parents," or "It's because the water in the area is really nice."

Following on from my last question about Tesco.....

I was in tears because I was so angry and no one at Tesco had the courtesy to call me to let me know what was going on.

The manager said that it was a breaskdown in communication, the driver failed to deliver my shopping between 9-11am this morning, I have been waiting until 6pm tonight to get a call to be told that I may not get my delivery.
He has refunded my card.

About ten minutes later, another driver arrives with my shopping which has just been refunded.

What would you do, bearing in mind, Tesco had a 'dont give a sh*t attitude to me?'

For our anniversary, my husband and I went to this superb Italian restaurant in DC. I ordered a veal in some sort of stew. As I was eating (using fork and knife) the waiter came over and placed a tiny fork in the middle of the meat. What on earth was it for and what was I supposed to do with it? It was really embarrassing not knowing, and I couldn't ask him because he was foreign and didn' t understand anything we said beyond what food we ordered. Eventually, I resumed eating the way I had been. Any help would be wonderful. Thank you!

Secend prank letter. Any good? to send them to other peoples houses but with their neigh?
With reference to your telephone conversation on the 21 March with my colleague Jeremy Dundole, thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns regarding our continence products. All concerns are important to TENA and we welcome the opportunity to address the issues you have raised.

I am sorry to hear about the problems you have experienced recently with the TENA disposable pull-up range. TENA are the leading supplier of hygiene products for bladder weakness and faecal incontinence here in the UK, we find it deeply disturbing that your pad unexpectedly exploded while doing you shopping leaving you covered in faeces. We are sincerely sorry. We can only speculate on how unpleasant it must have been for you and the shoppers around you.

After a lengthy investigation we could not find any sufficient evidence to say our product was to fault. We can not take any responsibility.

We suggest you use a more absorbent undergarment as our adult disposable pull-up may be unsuitable for your chronic faecal incontinence. We recommend you try our TENA SLIP all-in-one nappy for added security. As a gesture of good will we will send you a packet of our TENA SLIPS as soon as possible.

Should your encounter any more problems with your incontinence pads exploding again please get in touch as soon as possible Mr Brown on the number above or email me at jenny-dribbles@hotmail.co.uk

I have been working at wal mart now for 8yrs and every day after work for the past 6months i have been using their exercise equipment. At Lunchbreak i would go to the sporting goods section and lift weights with Otis, the 4yr door greeter veteran. The display is on a raised platform. The manager told us 1 time not to use the equipment but we feel that it sells better when they see wal mart employees working out as a demo while they are shopping. The other day the left side of the display gave out and the entire display slid off the side and into the floor doing tons of damage to merchandise and the floor. They say we're going to pay for the damage and then fire us.... any suggestions ?

my brother offered to buy my weekly groceries for me because i'd just moved in and he wanted to give it as a house warming gift. however when we got to the supermarket he kept on telling me that i'd the allowance to exceed my usual grocery bill due to the fact of him paying. he repeated this several times without me rewsponding with an answer. however i proceeded to collect my usual cheap shopping list. he felt upset as if i hadn't listened to him and mentioned the purchase of some ready, microwave meals. when we observed them they were to high and i proceeded to place them back and not buy any. then he slammed the freezer door in the meals were kept in , in the supermarket in protest.
i then refused to allow him to proceed to buy my shopping and placed everything back on the shelves.
did i do the right thing. i felt over insinuated by his reaction of dominating me with him buying the groceries. his protest was disrespectful to me as a person, not respecting my right to choose?

if somebody wants to be vegan, why do people give them advice telling them to eat meat? it's their choice and it doesn't even effect anyone elses life.

why can't we just be nice to people, especially if they aren't mean to us?

I've found myself in this situation a lot lately, and always feel awkward. Six or so people are together, and someone raises their glass and makes a toast. Everybody else says "CHEERS!" and the glasses start clinking together, and that's where the confusion starts. ;)

Who do you clink with first, and then in what order do you continue to clink?

ok so heres my question, first off my body type is like hollister models, so the question is do i need to wear a pair of pants under my scrub uniform? or would some boxer briefs to keep the package pretty tight be good enough. i mean scrubs are thin like wearing a pair of boxers basically, so i just wasnt sure if its bad taste to have such obvious buldge, or if thats ok. because i mean obviously if the wind were to blow those things r just gonna go right contoured to the body. i just dont want to get in trouble if guys arent supposed to dress like that. but then again when your ripped i dont know if people really care. any thoughts? also i live in cali, so the main point of this is it gets way too hot being in the sun with a pair of pants and then scrubs on top.

. It's, um,-- it's not a virus, I'm afraid. You see, a virus is what we doctors call very, very small. So small, it could not possibly have made off with a whole leg. What we're looking for here is, I think,-- And this is no more than an educated guess. I'd like to make that clear. ...Is some multi-cellular life form with stripes, huge razor-sharp teeth, about eleven foot long, and of the genus Felis Horribilis: what we doctors, in fact, call a 'tiger'.

i work at a convenience store where i have been for the past 9 months. when i first started, i worked 2 afternoons and 2 midnights a week. now that i am full time i work mostly afternoons. i folunteered to work a few midnights while the regular midnight guy is on vacation. all my manager told me was that the head whoever doesnt want females working midnights because they are afraid of "something bad" happening. i feel that if they are really worried about safety that they would have 2 people working on a shift. does anyone feel the same way i do. why or why not.
